I highly recommend the first two books, they are IMO excellent. I have not yet read the third book. A link at this site to read the first 30 pages of Tveeling

I'll have to get ahold of this and give it a read, sounds pretty good.

I have read the first book ( A Sword for the Immerland King) and the smith is a different kind of hero. Very unusual in fantasy fiction. I would encourage people to try it. Low violence, high on suspense and novelty.
