Has anyone played Amber Diceless? I am curious how it is played? I've never played it. If you're a member over on ODD74? The admin there is a big fan of the game, I believe he runs (or maybe used to run) a forum based on it.

Nope, the closest to diceless play is playing the Malifaux skirmish game - in a role playing? Nope. I likes rolling dice, tis just my preference. I won't slam anyone who likes Amber but I have zero interest in it. I haven't even read the books it is based on.

I don't post anymore because I am not a fan of GRRM and Game of Thrones for the same reason others are not.

I've played it, though it was a long time ago. My recollection is that it is very difficult to get anyone to do something against their will: even if you overmatch them in a particular realm of conflict, it is fairly easy for them to simply avoid the contest. The system works reasonably well for the Amber setting, but would be a poor fit for almost anything else except, say, a campaign of Norse or Greco-Roman gods.
A similar but more recent game is Nobilis; I've never played it but it seems to have more tools for sustaining conflict. If I really wanted to play an Amber campaign, though, I think I'd look at FATE instead, and just use the Amber Diceless books as reference.

Here it is: adrp.proboards.comIt doesn’t look very lively, though. Head over there and get the discussion going!

But the one guy posted a link to his website and it is fantastic Shadowlands A set of pages dedicated to the Amber DRPG. He has the following things linked to on his site I will have to take a look at those things and he also has a downloadable pdf of The Amber Players Guide which seems to be a fan created document.
