Tab prepares his duties. OOC: What does he do again? Medic? I don't know if we've settled crew positions yet, this would be a good thread to discuss that and fill in the crew position chart in the Google Doc.

Turning from watching the trio walk away toward the nearest ground shuttle stop, Danny asks Rockie, "So . . . do you want me on the life support overhaul or modifying the air/raft?"

I don't know if we've settled crew positions yet, this would be a good thread to discuss that and fill in the crew position chart in the Google Doc. Why don't we just let the job evolve naturally? If I recall correctly, we've got quite a bit of overlap on skills, between and amongst the lot of us. Also, it seems that we're down to three players plus the GM. Does this mean that certain characters are going to mysteriously vanish? Or are they going to be parceled out for one or more of the current players to run?

Turning from watching the trio walk away toward the nearest ground shuttle stop, Danny asks Rockie, "So . . . do you want me on the life support overhaul or modifying the air/raft?"" Why don't we start on the life support overhaul as it is the most crucial IMO since it will be necessary in any event," Rockie says to Danny. "Mister Tab why don't you work on modifying the air/raft," says Rockie, "and I will help pitch in with either one that needs an extra hand the most and work on cleaning this tub otherwise."

Pilot and Navigator is Rockie with Mister Tab as the backup/second seat for both.
Computer is Rockie and I have serious J-o-T skills.
Engineering is definitely Danny and while we don't have a backup, in a pinch I could give it a try.
Gunner is Danny, Suzuki and Rockie in order
Medic is Mister Tab and while we don't have a backup, in a pinch I could give it a try.
Steward is Emma.
Mechanical is Danny, Rockie, Suzuki, and Mister Tab
Electronics is Danny, Mister Tab and Emma

"You got it ma'am!" Tab gets organized and starts. OOC: Works for me. Also, "tee hee hee, Mister Tab." Amusing.

With just six crew, we might be a little challenged on tougher adventures. To go by their pre-gened character lists, most published CT adventures assumed a crew of eight.]

"Why don't we start on the life support overhaul as it is the most crucial IMO since it will be necessary in any event," With a shrug, Danny replies, "Fine with me."Glancing around, Danny spies a panel with " LS-032" marked upon it in faded red letters. Stepping over to it, she starts fiddling with the toggles in the corners, muttering "Why do they have to make these things so darn finicky?"

I might use some, but when I pull one out, it will be presented as a sanbox rather than a set piece adventure. You will have freedom how to approach the adventure if you even decide to engage it (I might push a little or a lot depending on the situation, but never direct). If you want Mao's Barbarian as an NPC, that would be fine, he can be part of the crew, or just a passenger (he has some High Passage vouchers that would last him for a while as a passenger).

[OOC: Barbarian Speculations . . .
If you want Mao's Barbarian as an NPC, that would be fine, he can be part of the crew, or just a passenger (he has some High Passage vouchers that would last him for a while as a passenger).
An unreformed, ancient Barbarian with High Passage tickets to burn would be an interesting person to have along. Maybe he's willing to spend his High Passages to travel on a old, stinky Suliemann because he's been blackballed by all the fancier ships that ply this border region. Perhaps because he has a tendency to get blind drunk and begin breaking furnishings, as well as the odd steward and/or fellow passenger.
How about having him walk [e.g. stagger] up as we're working on the ship, wave a High Passage at us and ask, "Where is y' heading? Nevermind. Where'er it tiz, 'at's where I'm ah goin'."]

A middle aged man walks up in crude low tech clothing, with a sack over his shoulder, a sword on his belt, clutching a high passage voucher. "Hey sir, have you a free cabin, I seek passage to somewhere other than here if you would take me."

"Hey sir, have you a free cabin, I seek passage to somewhere other than here if you would take me." OOC: Suzuki is not present at the moment.Rockie looks up at the man, notes that despite his somewhat shabby appearance, his sword and belt are well cared for and that he moves with a certain competence. "Well sir, my partner is not here at the moment, but I think he would be favorable to that proposition. Why don't you hang out until he returns and we should be able to accommodate you. Anything about you that we should know? Doesn't look like you are being chased, that is always a good sign," says Rockie with a wink.

From where she's been hosing down a stack of filters by the outdoor pad's central drainage well, Danny turns to give Low-Tech Wanderer a cautious once over. Observing Rockie's cautiously-welcoming response to the man's request for passage, she calls across the short distance, "Do you bathe regular?"

I have become accustomed to the practices of space faring folk, I find it very fascinating and understand the need to keep the evil spirits you call viruses at bay.

Rather well-spoken, particularly since Galanglic surely isn't his mother tongue. Maybe he'll be okay. And if he can use that sword, he might even prove useful.Aloud, Danny calls, "Seems okay to me." and with a shrug she resumes hosing down the filters.

My skills lie in the way of what you would probably call backwards fighting techniques. This weapon on my hip is not just an ornamental sword, I know how to use it and I've survived a few bar fights and other scraps without any weapons. I am also skilled in travelling in the back country without your magical flying carpets.

Danny pauses in her spraying of the screens, adjusts the spray head to "needle stream" - for maximum range - stealthily aims it in Tab's direction and then squeezes the trigger . . .

OOC: So I ask a question of someone else's character and ya attack me. REAL classy. OOC: I didn't "attack" you. Danny - a VERY cute redhead - tried to spray Tab with a water hose, because she felt like being snarky. You will notice that I did NOT impose an outcome to her attempt. You are completely free to decide that the range is just a bit too far, such that the stream of water falls short and Tab gets to say something pithy about Danny not being a very good "gunner." On the other hand, you could decide that the "attack" drenches Tab from head to toe and let him get steamed. Or whatever else you fancy. Completely up to you.
