I also say that it will repel vampires which is why some cultures use it in all their food and the smell permeates their clothing.

At the ristorantes I usually mince it finely and cook with olive oil until brown....

Roughhouse doesn't, because he uses Pennzoil for frying.

I have no use for it other than to ward a chamber, making a vampire shy to entering it. A result would depend on the specific situation including the strength of the vampire.

Remember, once garlic starts to sprout do not cook with it; it will have a bitter taste.
But I suppose it would still be useful against vampires.

Re-skin it for a given world? Garlic is just tasty, but a green onion will make a vamp think twice...
