It doesn't feel Monty haul to me. We're not killing hatchling dragons and so falling into a hundred thousand GP piles. There are certain items which distort the game and I try to avoid those. Things like portable holes, fully-charged wands, anything that allows flying. I wish you were still around, because I am curious as to what you have against portable holes. How do you feel they distort the game. I roll a d100 to see how many charges a wand has so it could be fully charged or it could have only 1 charge. The only thing I have against flying is that it complicates adjudicating the game for the DM.

Now, it sounds like your table enjoys clearing 1000 room levels which is pretty neat too. I would note that TPD saidWhich I would take it to mean that TPD does not consider it to be wise to try to exhaustively search every room, but that the place have to learn when to search and when to keep going. He also notes that So I would assume that his players are not expected to waste time, but to keep moving and use good judgement on went to spend more time in an area.

I take it that your giant are about 1000 feet tall and drink tens of thousands of gallons of liquids at one sitting?! To add some context to this here is a quote from the linked post

For the OP, I want to know how all of this works, are you going to write more about this and how you create a dungeon and place everything in it?
