I *should* have thought of GA because I read most of the early parts of Eric Flint's Ring of Fire universe. But I guess it's just been too long. I love Eric Flint's Ring of Fire universe and have read probably 80% of the published books. Eric Flint is an author that is not afraid of pdfs and there is a ton of fan fiction if I had time to go to the site and read it. Yeah. To both sentences: love the universe, but just don't have the time to read it all. I especially love how he's opened it up to so many different (and mostly first-time) authors. Have you read his rules for writing in the universe? All very sensible, especially the bit where he says something along the lines of, "Remember that Grantville is a small, unremarkable American town. So, sorry, your story can't depend on your protagonists finding an entire trainload of missile launchers which just happened to get caught inside the Ring." |

I will post here and let you all know if at some point I am able to restart a pbp. I will use the same setting and existing characters can be used if people want to. Check back next April and I will let you know how things stand.
