So Ive had this idea for a long time. I want to do a fantasy version of the Jews coming out of Egypt from the Bible. I was wondering if there is any interest in this and also wondering what you guys thought of idea. As an alternatte I could just write it up as a game world and give you guys all the spoilers(at the very least I will be doing this) BIG EDITORIAL NOTE I dont want peeps RPING the Real Bible!!!!!!! 2nd Note This is a VERY long time from being done.

The setting would probably be based on REHs Conan and Egypt would be Serpant Men Empire.

File off the serial numbers, and I like the other suggestions.

I am a little surprised at how warm the reception I got on this was! Serial numbers will be compleatly scrubbed for this, to replace YHWH, I'm gonna use an old philosophy I made up as the "religion" of the peeps running away. Its called "Arite" and it means "excalance in all things"No real world anything will be in this basicly just using the theme of Exodus. I really would like to make this a colabertive effort for this group, so input is not asked for ,it is demanded(LOL)

I really would like to make this a colabertive effort for this group, so input is not asked for ,it is demanded(LOL) In the quote, I made a slight edit. This is not other forums. Here I believe that most, if not all of us, are willing to give every (most) ideas a chance unless someone jumps the shark in one way or another that seems deliberately offensive. Using Biblical themes for you game is not IMO offensive in and of itself, it is all about how it is done. In my case (and likely for others), it also makes a difference if someone has a history of insulting religion and those who believe in them. When there is not a history of either, I think most of us are pretty open to ideas in implementing those things in game. Some places completely ban any mention of real world religion and I don't hold with that since it is connected to what we do or don't do in our gaming. I am even thinking of having a forum where we can respectively discuss how our faith affects our gaming, and I may be putting up a poll for that. There thread might belong in such a forum.

It would be fascinating, though I've seen attempts on mentalists' and magicians' forums turn downright nasty. (Good old internet, where everyone can be offended 24/7/365!) There are certainly influences on and in games - most of which make Supplement #IV ("Gods Have Hit Points! Kill Them All and Loot Them!") look like the excellent book but lousy influence on gaming worlds that it became. It was, for instance, in a Call of Cthulhu campaign where a "hat trick" by one of my players' characters influenced me to begin an eight-year study of Judaism and Christianity history and got me all baptized and everything. (And I haven't had nearly the spare time since. I thought when all the kids moved out, Life Would Begin.)

Perhaps if I start a forum like that, I would not have it as just open like everything else is. I might have a group and you could request being added to the group. Another thing to think on.

I think that would be a great idea, does the forum software allow you to add people individually to a forum one at a time? If it does, then anyone that could not play well in that environment would be easy to remove.

I am a little surprised at how warm the reception I got on this was! Of course you got a warm reception, it is all about how do you boil a frog , you place him in warm room temperature water and the gradually increase the heat, you'll be fine and will never feel a thing. This is a joke I would never do such a thing, at least not to a frog or anything like that.

By "anything like that" are you indicating we non-frog-looking people aren't safe around you? Did you join the Temple of the Frog?
