The Semi-Retired Gamer I have run these a handfull of times and it works in practice as well as theory. I am extremely fond of the concept but have run into no one else that likes it so, Thanx!

oh forgott this bit:in the above example. Say st was not a great way against this encounter so it might be st as is vrs the d20 or it could be that it works well against it and would be st+5 vrs the roll,forgit that I had that worked out, th thief might rollvrs dex and jump out of the way causing the boulders to colide at dex +10 as say this would be the best way of handling it. mao Is there some type of time constraint on these skill-based encounters OR are they just played out by rolling until you fail then you fail the task?
