What year were you born? I was born in 1970 and I got into D&D by losing a bet.

I was born in the 1956-1960 slot. A Wilt fan I see and appropriate since that is from the Conan flick he was in. Great I love basketball, football and baseball!

I was born in 1981, but I have the odd habit of being fascinated by things that are just a bit older than I am.

I was born in 1981, but I have the odd habit of being fascinated by things that are just a bit older than I am. An excellent fascination, Sir, if I may be so bold as to say that. One that I share, as well. I just wish I were born 10 years earlier so I could have gotten into D&D when it started, and not later with B/X or Holmes basic (I honestly can't recall which came first of these for me). Either that, or decades before so I could have enlisted into military service for my country for WWII.

1967 and a literal post-war baby - would have been tricky for me to choose in WWII as my ancestors were fighting on both sides. I do regret not having found D&D until quite late in life. I love the B/X that I started with (and sometimes Holmes and sometimes AD&D, we didn't know the difference!), but it took until the internet for me to really understand the genesis of the hobby.

Born in 1966. Started with Holmes. Got into OD&D rather late in life. Ends up that it plays a lot like the way I used to play AD&D back in the day. (In fact, I might want to go back the those old days of misplayed AD&D...)

1956 Where do you find socks that last that long! In my sock drawer. Wow! You must have been born with really big feet, if you can still wear the socks you had in 1955. No offense, not making fun of your feet.

Wow! You must have been born with really big feet, if you can still wear the socks you had in 1955. No offense, not making fun of your feet. You didn't ask if they still fit. However, you would benefit from studying genealogy information about the famous Landreth feet. Really. Burger King will give you fries and women will flock to you.

You have to follow through (and read the letters of) Grandpa Jerry's wife, Ina Mae Smith (b. 1886)

Naughty girls get spanked... I would not advise that you try that. She would likely kick your tired old ass and the rest of us would laugh ourselves to death and we're too young to die.
