Golems (related - Robots, Androids) are one of the monsters found in OD&D. Golems come from Jewish folklore. They are automatons made from clay or mud. The word "robot" was coined by Czech writer Karl Czapek in his play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots).
What is the difference between a Golem and Living Statue. Is the Golem is more of a Construct vs the Living Statue is an existing inanimate object that has been given supernatural life?
Do golems have Intelligence or are they mindless drones with no comprehension or understanding?
Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin's creation was subtitled The Modern Prometheus, but the world remembers it as Frankenstein. The novel follows Victor Frankenstein in the creation and ultimate pursuit of the "creature," which he imbued with the "spark of life."
