For OD&D, I need a reference. I am not up to memorizing every specific for any RPG. However for tabletop roleplaying all I need are a couple of notepad, some dice, and some players willing to put with me. The closest I come to that is when I ran some Fudge/Fate. What I did one time as an experiment was to show up at a session (at a convention) with nothing but a map and OD&D rules. I made the adventure completely up on the fly. The only thing I decided while setting things up that it would be the home of a coven of warlocks. Everything else was off the cuff and what looked good to me as I drew on the dry erase mat I was using. This is the map I started with. It was made for my friend Tim. He asked me for a blank dungeon map and I said "Sure how do you want it?". He said "Give me three level and it is inside a cliff." That what I drew. But he never got around to using it and so I re-purposed it. After the session, I wrote up what I did and called it the Night's Bride Coven. drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1TG37KTmOoWT4z6xXv-jWqHsAAojmANWW

The last option works for me. Give me players and dice. Pencil and paper optional.

The last option works for me. Give me players and dice. Pencil and paper optional. I dunno, do we really need players?

Just my homebrew, my own version of D&D.

The last one is my choice. I can derive anything I need.

With the last choice I can wing it. The reference sheets would be a nice bonus.

I can do the last option, but would rather have the reference sheets available.

In a pinch I could run with the last option.

I can do it with the last option. Although it is much better to have the reference sheets.

Reference sheets, plus dice, pencils and paper. Players of course.
