Here is a place to discuss Chainmail based clones. The claim that Chainmail is the foundation of OD&D is a false narrative pushed by those who deny any contribution by Arneson and the role of Blackmoor. While Chainmail was an inspiration and an influence, it was not the prime inspiration or prime influence and certainly not the basis of Blackmoor or OD&D. Gygax retrofitted a lot of Chainmail into OD&D, rather than using the Arneson mechanics from Blackmoor.
