Thanks to all those who showed interest in this project. It is one or two nights away from being completed. The interface is really cool, with a splash page of my Castle El Raja Key, a great cascading view to view thumbnail image files and choose amongst them, hype-linked files, and over 50,000 words of descriptions, Preface, Forward, How to Use, etc. It's been one hell of a project that stretches back to its earliest file which is dated 1971. I know everyone who appreciates the History of D&D and the earliest items and facts associated with it will enjoy this product for years to come.

Oooooh!!!! Does this include all or most of your early unpublished stuff? I want it to include stuff he hasn't written too. I can be more unreasonable than that! I want it to include his unpublished stuff he's never even thought of!

Sounds like a great item to have. I am trepidatious about how much this is going to cost. Not that it won't worth whatever that amount is. Just saying!

I have already discussed this with my wife and I am going to do it as quickly as is possible. I am already setting aside money to commit to this purchase.

A little pre-promotion/information: The DVD is being released in three versions: Basic, Standard and Collector's. The Standard differs from the Collector's only in the fact that a bonus written work from 1975 is included with the Collector's: Otherwise both contain the entirety of the files 1,100. The Collector's is slightly above 100.00 in cost whereas the other two are below that amount. The Basic is the lowest cost of the three and includes a great selection from the DVD. Both Basic and Standard versions are upgradable at any time in the future.
The DVD will also launch Three Line Studio's Three Little Books™ line--3LB--that works with the material on the DVD. The Collector's version has the first installment for 3LB; and that will be dedicated to the Acaeum members for the very reason that without their continued efforts at auction to appraise and pay for the original items now preserved as images on the DVD--and over nearly an 11 year span of doing so--that this collection would never have seen the light of day.
TLS was very aware of pricing and upgrade options while aiming to make this available to a wide range of consumers, from player's, to historians, to collectors. In our estimation we hit that sweet spot for everyone so I do not feel anyone will be disappointed with any of the aforementioned versions.

Oooooh!!!! Does this include all or most of your early unpublished stuff? See the post above. It includes 1,100 files that represents what was auctioned over 11 years and does include some published and unpublished "stuff" (i.e. Castle El Kaja Key is on there, Castle Greyhawk levels I created, etc. etc.). It does include partials of some things that I may still work on or license others to finish. It does not include some works that could have been put on it such as Pied Piper Publishing art files or those projects that are unfinished and that I will get to finishing, God and Time permitting. I probably have enough in my work folders (I have 750,000 files on several drives) to publish an ancillary DVD in the future but, quite honestly, I hope to never see another project like this again. It's been a very exhausting experience even though the end result was well worth it!

Pricing sounds very affordable to me (I am really glad this is happening this year), early Christmas present! I love this "Three Line Studio's Three Little Books™ line--3LB-", how very cool. I am glad you thought of it first, especially considering some terms I have see trademarked over the last few years. Can I quote you out of today's posts?

It's been a very exhausting experience even though the end result was well worth it! 750,000 files, that would be almost 700 more DVD's so maybe in another few years you can put out a good parts DVD of the remainder 3/4 of a million files. That just boggles the mind, 3/4 of a million files. Do you ever sleep?

That just boggles the mind, 3/4 of a million files. Do you ever sleep? I recently took a week to gather to one folder MOST of the creative/work/project files and then did likewise for all the image files. I am sure those represent near half (about 350,000 files and related research pdfs, notes, relevant communications, blog posts and other extraneous matter). I then created a catalog from NEOFINDER for Macintosh. I Believe the output for the catalog went above 5 MB text and I didn't look at the word count. The 750,000 number includes the total files on the computer (programs, etc). Yeah. Sleep. I get 6 hours a day and if I get over that I get irritable. Lol! Paul Stormberg refers to me as "prolific" (I have probably 6-8 times more unpublished than what you see published). Eric Shook, in 1982, once noted that "Gary would be PO'd if he saw how much stuff you have here that you are not publishing." (He was noting all of my boxes filled with "stuff"); and my wife, Nathalie refers to me as a dynamo and admits that she cannot keep up, even though her two excellent blogs contain well researched articles that span 5 years and 250,000 well chosen words. So. I am always creating whether you see me publishing or not. That is why one day I walked into The Dragon Magazine offices with 3 board game designs I'd finished over 1 year (one of them was eventually published through them). I've really never thought about it until others started mentioning it. It's what we were always doing in the LGTSA I guess.
