chirine's workbench Was Jeff Berry's blog and it was started in October of 2008 and it was deleted or hidden from the Internet not too long after the last post on March 16, 2022. It is partially preserved in the Internet Archive. The first crawl of the blog by the Internet Archive happened on May 11th, 2011. Because the blog was not archived sooner all the 12 posts of 2008, the 77 posts of 2009, the 109 posts of 2010 and some of the posts of 2011 where not saved and are not currently available anywhere. The first posts saved were those from April 27th through May 11th, 2011. None of these posts are philosophical or gaming history in nature, so it is not known if all the previous content was similar to these posts or not. Hopefully of the posts that are lost none of them are of the philosophical or gaming history type of content. It is hoped that Jeff will restore this blog at some point or at least if not the whole blog at least the philosophical or gaming history. Of course, if he does complete and release his book, then that base will, I would assume be completely covered by the book. His book is going to be, IIRC, a free pdf and that is a long story as to why he can't sell it, but I don't know all the details about that, only that IMO there are evil, stupid people who would like to silence him. Jealously is an evil thing and IMO that is what this is. Here is the link to these initial posts. He has some links to useful Tékumel but not all of those links work. One site is still active - a blog called - The Eye of Joyful Sitting Amongst Friends and I am taking steps to see that it is fully backed up at the Internet Archive to the best of my ability. As of early 2011 here is his list of blogs worth following in his opinion. blogs worth following GROGNARDIA SPACESWORDS & GLORY The Grand Tapestry The Tékumel Project Hill Cantons netherwerks Heroes of the Age The Pewter-Pixel Wars ix The Sandbox of Doom The Superior Force The Eye of Joyful Sitting Amongst Friends Dave's Irregulars Links (whether direct or Internet Archive) to these will have wait for another day, unless someone else would like to jump in and do it.

The second time it was saved was on July 21st 2011 and it saved the posts from June 22nd through July 13th. The posts between this save point and the one above in the first posts are not available. Two things here, I will try/attempt to make a specific note when there are philosophical or gaming history in a section of saved posts. Secondly, if you have a blog or other site you cannot just reply on the Internet Archive to save your entire site. When it crawls your site it does not make a complete backup and the only way to ensure that happens is to manually go to web.archive.org/save and to be logged in with an account to the Internet Archive. Then you manually entire the url relevant to new content every time it is posted. For something like this forum, of course it will not safe the hidden staff areas or any private work areas. My advice is that whether it is your own blog or any other site, if there is something you want to be saved, create yourself an account at the Internet Archive and manually save that item yourself.

Next there were two saves on August 13th, 2011. This saves all the info from July 13th to August 10th. This captures a three post series titled The Greatest Story Never Told...
