Well, I seem to have lost my password to a lot of sites. I do that. I hardly ever bother to write things down because I will remember it - HA! Just an update on my own stuff. I created a prototype for a new OD&D class called the Seeker It's on my blog. www.secretsofblackmoor.com/blog/an-odd-character-class-the-seekerI got a lot of flack about it on reddit. But, my attitude is: If you do not like all of it, just change it! it's yours to do with as you please. The main point is that the class loses experience levels via high level power use, so they tend to get stuck around 5th level forever. They are an anti progression class that is very powerful at first level. And of course we are taking the last orders for the 2nd printing of The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg. store.secretsofblackmoor.com/collections/t-shirts/products/the-lost-dungeons-of-tonisborg-book-first-edition-second-printingI expect this is the wrong place to post, but I am rather high on sugar from drinking an entire bottle of Mexican soda and thus I am not sure if I care right now. I hope everyone is doing well, Griff

Welcome back! Good to see you.
I just skimmed the Seeker writeup and love it for NPCs. I will look at it again and post if I have more to say.
I think this is a fine place to post this info.

It was ideally meant as an NPC, but a good player should try playing one. But you really gotta get into devloping the persona to suit it.

I like this a lot and found it to be a great read too. If I get a group going again or get my play by post going again, I will include the Seeker. I think you did a great job on the writeup and I think it will really suit my style of gaming. I got a lot of flack about it on reddit. But, my attitude is: If you do not like all of it, just change it! it's yours to do with as you please. The main point is that the class loses experience levels via high level power use, so they tend to get stuck around 5th level forever. They are an anti progression class that is very powerful at first level. I am not surprised that you got a lot of flack on reddit, do you have a link to that, I would like to read it. I really like the idea of burning XP to use their power. I think that is an awesome idea and I might apply that to a certain extent to Magic-Users. Seems like a really good tweak. I notice that your writeup did not provide any guidelines for how much XP is used for a spell/power depending on its level. Did you have any guidelines or are you leaving that to each ref to handle? Would you mind if we wrote up one or more tweaks of your idea here? I was reading about the second print and it makes me wish I was in a position to get one to go with my 1st print. How many were in the first print run and how many are in the second printing?

How did you develop it? I am a bit tired of dungeon delves and I am running more games where the players act as spies in the great war against the Egg. Another element is a plot line I have about an ancient now extinct race of high elves that were betrayed by "the lesser elves, Elfaren." It involves having to go explore very strange supernatural places where there are rifts between the different planes of existence. Who better to lead a party through a place full of strange pockets of otherness than a Seeker? I am also tired of having everything follow the old systems of character advancement. I prefer to follow what I see in fiction. Thus someone with strange supernatural sensing powers would be very powerful and vulnerable at a young age. I also created my own Divination Cards for doing readings for my players in the game and I needed a special class who can do these readings.
