Been looking for something like this. Not that I have an obvious use for it, but this looks simple enough even for me to grasp it. I'm going to read it more carefully.

And now there is the Ringmail Fantasy Supplement which "presents a combat system more faithful to the game from which Ringmail inspires, as well as guidelines for creating opponents and managing magic in a simple way (without resorting to long lists of spells).". It's listed at a suggested price of $2.10 but it is pay what you want.
