My posting anything asking for money is a rare event; however, this is one of those times. Jeff Perren who was the co-author of Chainmial, needs a little assistance from the old school fan base so that he can live at home with his daughter instead of going into a nursing home. They need to install a stair lift and a handicapped accessible bathroom. Please check out the link. Thank you! Stair lift needed for Jeff Perren

Thanks for the heads-up on this one Admin Pete. I hope for the best for both Perren and his daughter. (Perhaps this thread should be in Announcements or even Classified?)

Hopefully a successful roll for an admirable initiative!

I will likely move the thread later, but for now I want it to get maximum visibility and on any forum that is the General Discussion forum. I also posted this to D&D Discussion and to Dragonsfoot to give it maximum old school exposure.

So far they have raised $6,270.00, I am hoping overtime they go a bit higher. Things always cost more than you estimate and I am sure they could use the money anyway.

I wish there were some way to send messages to Jeff letting him know how his contribution to gaming is appreciated.. IIRC they reached their goal in about 4 days and they are still getting a few donations. That had to be encouraging to them and I hope that they are able to get everything done to get him home with his family.

This link still works so not too late to make a donation. Thank you!
