Ok, here's a list of creatures (with brief descriptions) to be found in the world of Xul:
Aerial jellyfish

They usually live in small shoals, using their poisonous tentacles to paralyze their prey in order to suck nutrition. Quite easily killed, but fighting them is hazardous since they explode as they die.
Ape-man
Highly developed primates, reminiscent of large man-apes. Some ape-men are as intelligent as humans, living in organized societies, fully capable of using tools, constructing buildings etc. Others are much more primitive, living in primitive tribes with a technological level reminiscent of the stone age.
Arachnoid
Anthropomorphic humanoids with arachnoid features, semi-intelligent and sporting two pair of legs and two pair of arms. Roughly the size of humans, they usually live in forest regions. Formidable beasts of prey, very fast and agile, with poisonous bites.
Battle cat
A large panther, with its soft fur so dark purple it almost appears black. Usually found in jungles, sometimes trained by warriors to be used as riding animals.

They are strong-willed individuals, fast and very agile.

The ghouls are the result of some strange curse or disease, possibly induced by magic. If bitten by a ghoul, the victims turn into ghouls themselves. Their bodies appear to be slightly deformed, just as their minds. The skin is pale, almost grey, and the nails turn into blackened claws and the teeth turns sharp. All ghouls are scavengers, feeding off dead humans and animals alike. They shun sunlight, and are usually found in ruins nearby human settlements.
