So the game as RAW has an interesting flaw. As written in every edition as you go up, AC of monsters goes up also. What if every class never got any better to hit. And AC never went up? I explored this the lass 6 mo. of my game and found it satisfactory. really tough opponents would be difficult to hit and orcs and kobalds would be a threat no matter what L you are.
Thoughts?

Where are you getting this?
The AC of monsters doesn't change as the player level changes. Also the difficulty of the monsters has a lot to do with how smart they are played.

I lost ALL my game books in a flood which leaves me ill prepared to defend this idea(and it is harebrained, I freely admit) 99.99% of players are gonna want to progress. Nevermind.

I mean where do you get that all editions have monsters AC change when players level up. Each monster normally has a fixed AC and that has nothing to do with player advancement. Not sure what you are talking about here.
