Welcome to our newest member dlbob! So how long have you been playing RPGs? I am not familiar with Ironsworn, what is it like?
Been playing since 2020. Ironsworn is pretty cool, it's a sort of low magic vikingish setting with pbta rules that can be played solo. The pdf is free and worth checking out.
Do you have a link to the download for this?

Hello, I am also on Reddit as u/Alaharon123. I believe I discovered this forum when the court case document was posted here first, and have then visited a number of times. I grew up with Mentzer BEC and now I've been reading a whole bunch about OD&D in order to maybe run it someday, but also because it's just absolutely fascinating with how unclear it is and the amount of digging you have to do to figure out what is intended with various mechanics

How long have you been playing the Mentzer BEC D&D? Unfortunately I only played as a kid, and not that much. Couldn't put a group together as a kid with me and everyone else wanting to be cool and thus making like we're too cool to play pretend. Since then I've only played a couple sessions of 5e, no classic D&D. Mentzer Basic is really well-written to make you want to play D&D though.

I agree with you about Mentzer Basic. That was my first set of materials of my own, and it made the game look really appealing.

Check out the play by post games at the bottom of the forum. Not quite the same as a face to face game, but they can be a lot of fun.

Hi there! I think I first saw the Ruins of Murkhill forum on MeWe, where Havard and I have conversed in the past. I'm a longtime gamer, having started with wargames in the early 1970s, and then started roleplaying in 1975. Hope this helps! Victor
