From time to time your players may find books/tomes/scrolls or other documents in the game. Here are a few that are in various D&D/AD&D publications and I was curious as to how many of you have made up lists of such items for your game and if you would share them with us. I will be posting mine when I have more time to post and am at home where the documents are. (that will not be within the next few days as this is a very busy weekend coming up)
I post this as an example from TSR, what does your list look like? How many of these do you use or not use?
01 Book of Exalted Deeds 02 Book of Infinite Spells 03 Book of Vile Darkness 04 Libram of Gainful Conjuration 05 Libram of Ineffable Damnation 06 Libram of Silver Magic 07 Manual of Bodily Health 08 Manual of Gainful Exercise 09 Manual of Clay Golems 10 Manual of Clay Golems 11 Manual of Flesh Golems 12 Manual of Flesh Golems 13 Manual of Iron Golems 14 Manual of Stone Golems 15 Manual of Stone Golems 16 Manual of Puissant Skill at Arms 17 Manual of Quickness of Action 18 Manual of Stealthy Pilfering 19 Tome of Clear Thought 20 Tome of Leadership and Influence 21 Tome of Understanding 22 Vacuous Grimoire 23 Boccob's Blessed Book 24 Libram of Destruction 25 Libram of Evaluation 26 Libram of Identification 27 Libram of Legends 28 Libram of Study in Strength 29 Libram of Study in Intelligence 30 Libram of Study in Wisdom 31 Libram of Study in Dexterity 32 Libram of Study in Constitution 33 Libram of Study in Charisma and Comeliness 34 Tome of Translation

Wow! Somebody types fast or had a lot of spare time today! I never had a need for preexisting books inside my campaigns, except for Call of Cthulhu (Where even Oz and Winnie-ther-Pooh books made PCs insane.) because I'd make them up on the spot. My players, when bored, would always look for books or scrolls; if I was bored, they found Nancy Drew and the Vegetarian Demon, volume three.
