You and the clerics you cited right above this. Clerics who go adventuring typically wear leather or chainmail, some may were plate. Those who do not adventure, the majority do not wear armor as a rule, but may wear leather when traveling through areas that are not so civilized.

This is fantasy that we are talking about and as such, it has rules hat do not translate into true real life. Wizards Prime Stat is INT, Clerics; WIS. That pretty much sums up my whole point.

So you are basing your whole argument on the Prime Stat of the Classes. Yet wisdom (common sense) trumps intelligence in all areas, except pure research. Odd that you think mages are more versatile in the game than clerics.

I wonder if the difference in opine is how you think wizards start. As I have often said I am a Vancian purest. This leads me to believe that if you are smart enuf , you can be a mage. Do you guys think they are born w it(granted, this would be true of some)?

Super smart is inventive (mage), super wise is scholarly (cleric). This is one way that the game actually does mirror reality, smart people invent things, and wise people write about them.

The first minimum broached was the min Charisma of 17 for a Paladin. An INT of 3 can be a mage and a WIS of 3 can be a cleric.

I figure that anything I have learned about daily life in the middle ages, my character knows and more than I know.
