Fascinating. Very interesting and evocative stuff, Von. The more you reveal about So-I-noticed-you-actually-ended-up-calling-it-Titan the more impressed I get. Original and very playable. Thanks for sharing, have an Exalt!

Very Machiavellian... Have you read The Prince? The real Elba is within sight of my mountain-side view from here on Corsica...

I haven't, although the missus' copy winks knowingly at me every time I venture into the back room where most of the books live. I probably should, if I'm going for this far-future-Renaissance-Italy thing...

It must be in your blood, which is a better route than any book-reading can provide. My own Kalibruhn is rife with intrigue and power struggles; it keeps the game and the ideas "lively".

Cities add a whole new universe to the typical game. If Rob ever comes to visit for a week again I'll spend the month beforehand detailing the city of Ram's Horn.
We had a ton of fun. I can only imagine how great it would have been if I hadn't been winging it.

I can only imagine how great it would have been if I hadn't been winging it. Wasn't it more like two weeks and two cases of your home-made beer or ale? Fun times! If Clinton wins the Presidency I may be renouncing my citizenship, so there's another angle! Well my SUNKEN CITY adventure that Terry, James Goodfellow and Eric Shook played in will be released concurrently/as part of my DVD collection due out in a week. There's that and the many City of Greyhawk pieces/maps (sewers, city proper, adjacent to city adventures, etc.) from the Original Campaign. The most inspiring part of city adventures are the unknowns of rising intrigue and in-the-back-ground happenings. In the Original Campaign I took charge of that and had more happening in the back ground that ever was then foregrounded by the players! It gives DMs a future wealth of information and material to interject whenever needed. I would love to play in the City of Ram's Horn. I'd be a dwarf on a mission... If you ever get to Corsica we can parlay some more adventures for Gronan, too!

I'm currently playing in a 5e game. Quite nice to be on the other side of the screen for a change...

Nothing as yet. I'm currently playing in a 5e game. Quite nice to be on the other side of the screen for a change... I am quite interested in your opinion, Von, of 5E/play due to your experience with other versions of the D&D game. Would you consider doing a short write up on your general impressions of it at some time while comparing the two or touching upon the pros and cons?

I could take a shot, I suppose, although I'd struggle to do it with much more than a sentence. Perhaps I'll have some more ideas towards the end of the year. I have to run something at a three day convention in November and I'm considering a game using 5e and set on Titan...

Von I look forward to seeing that come together and in any event would love a report on the convention and gaming there.
