Drawing by Carl Jung of someone slaying a dragon. I actually don't know what he intended it for, but I understand it's from a series of drawings he did that are meant to suggest or illustrate mythical ideas, basic ideas common across humanity. If anyone knows better or more detail, please quote me and comment. I chose it just because I like it and it seems somehow not obviously from this hobby, but still totally applicable.  |

My avatar is from a drawing that a friend and OD&D player in college made of me bitd. That is a very good likeness of what I looked like at 19 and a full head of curly hair.

A hooked rug I made; my spouse has a business selling and designing pattern and kits for rug-hook projects (pulling scraps of wool strips through a burlap/linen canvas). I tried to convince her that with the amount and diversity of D&D players now, there would be a market if she offered D&D inspired patterns. I drew the pattern, my (7yo) daughter did the color planning, my wife started the rug a year ago but I picked it up a few weeks ago and finished it.

Most monsters you could sell, but WotC might complain about a few of them like the Beholder, that they claim as their IP. arjen That rug does look sweet. Nice. I hope you can sell some of them. Could do some as dungeon maps? Might be technically simpler? I scrolled through here and I see that the avatars on this board have a cool feel to them as a group.

My avatar is old man humor (at least to me) of a picture of my rooster whose original name was Henrietta. If you know about chickens bought as straight runs then you know that naming them on day one is a massive guess. His sister is named Henry. Boy was I a 100% off.
The name Richard Long is borrowed from an actor on "Big Valley". A seventies cowboy western show about a family of Barkley's. They were rich land baron ranchers with their fingers into everything in California. Jared Barkley, eldest brother, lawyer, and bleeding heart goody two-shoe for the underdog is his character on the show.
The humor is carried over from MeWe where you'll find another blog. Like a good campaign you can follow yet another reference to yet another blog on Tumblr, then WordPress, on into infinity... Eventually discovering the true secret of Richard Long. It's just a made up porn name.
If you would though, please appreciate the beautiful barred-rock rooster and hit the like and follow button. Any other reasons unknown.
