During most 24 hour periods we have about 12-25 members online each day and about 120-180 guests, but during the last 24 hours we have had 373 guests and we hit a new high of 34 people online at the same time. So I was curious as to who has been publicizing the forum and where they were publicizing it at that has doubled the traffic viewing the forum - at least temporarily. Whoever you are - thank you!   |

I would make the arrogant claim that it's all me, telling prospective players "go here and see what I'm on about", but for my fear that you know exactly which sections of the board have been so popular and so could put the lie to my nonsense.

Apparently not, shame it even counts bots. What could are analytics if it counts noise instead of signal. It is now up to 446 in the last 24 hours. Disappointing to think that the entire increase could be due to bots, but on the other hand maybe the site will finally move up in the OD&D search results. That's it, glass half full not half empty. |

Also I think the stat of most users online at the same time (moment) is a real stat of actual users and that is now 34, which to have 34 real people browsing at the same time is pretty cool.

Hmm! For the last three hours it has held steady at a little over 500 guests. Odd!

Well the guest count remains really high here a day later, it is still up around 500 but there has been no significant jump in the number of page views, so I am inclined to think you are right and we are being hit with a great increase of bot activity for no apparent reason. Worse, we still do not show in a straight google search for OD&D. |
