For the coming year 2021 what games/supplements/resources do you plan to purchase (include things that are free too!)?

I have not thought about it yet myself, but want to start looking around to see what might be out there that I might want.

I plan to get Goodman Games Castle Amber reprint. Number 5 in their series of conversions to 5E that alsoreprints one or more of the original printings. Amber is one of my all time favorite B/X modules! Beyond that nothing specific. I haunt the FLGS for older used stuff and it often finds its way to EBay as my side gig.

I am probably just going to take a look at some of the mounds of free stuff that are available. Not really a time for me to be spending money.

I'm planning on a mix of old school and new school products.
I'm waiting for the Colonial Marines sourcebook for the ALIEN RPG.
For Runequest Classic I am going to get Cults of Prax and Cults of Terror but I might also get some other classic resources.
For AD&D 2E I am going to buy the 3 core volumes and I'm considering one of the clones; so For Gold & Glory OR Adventures Dark & Deep.

I decided to get back into the Legend of the 5 Rings CCG. I am having a great time restarting a collection. It is a fantasy feudal Japan and other Asian influences.

I'm making an addition to my list of 2021 purchases.
I am going to replace my old AD&D hardbacks that "disappeared" while I was away serving in the Army.
Players Handbook Dungeon Master's Guide Monster Manual Unearthed Arcana
Gotta have the classics!

Players Handbook Dungeon Master's Guide Monster Manual Unearthed Arcana Gotta have the classics! Go for it! Last I checked you can still get those books for a reasonable price.

The four core AD&D books which you listed are also available currently as POD from drivethru (PHB, DMG, MM, UA). I recently bought all 4 to use for casual reading and table references in my game. I keep my originals in plastic on a shelf as collectibles at this point. The POD covers are not as cool looking as the originals. But the paper quality and the readability of the text is superior to the originals. Also, WotC has corrected the errors in each book (which were previously listed on separate Errata documents). So in many ways (including price) the POD are superior.

I'm not about to pay the prices these books demand in many cases.

But there is a ton of stuff that would make excellent reading and ideas resources.

I got my purchases planned out and spread out.

I might pledge the new HYPERBOREA kickstarter which is supposed to launch next month.
Other than that, I'm working on printing up my own copies of the Whitebox LBBs and supplements, and making a wood-grain box to hold them. That's more of a craft project than a "purchase" but it will take a lot of time and some money to accomplish. If anybody has experience with that and wants to offer advice, please chime in. I did find some good posts over on the Odd74 forum about homemade LBBs.

I did find some good posts over on the Odd74 forum about homemade LBBs. A properly sized cigar box from a cigar store makes a good start for a box and it is sturdy. I'm not crafty enough to do it, but you can print the original exterior of the woodgrain box (it was glued to a white box anyway) and glue it to the cigar box, all six sides.

Using a cigar box is a great idea! I have been looking at various shipping boxes, boardgame boxes, etc. trying to find the right size. I would prefer a full-overlap cover lid like a boardgame, but a hinged cigar box could work as well. I have found some nice wooden cigar boxes online already. That way, I wouldn't even have to cover the exterior with fake woodgrain contact paper or anything, just have nice wood, and paste the D&D whitebox cover art on the lid over the cigar logo.

I have bought empty cigar boxes from a cigar store for a $1. They might be $2 now, but likely cheaper than ordering online.

I wish I had a gaming purchase list for 2021. I keep reading about all these people who are not willing to work because they are flush with cash. Wish I knew some of them, because I would be happy to take some of that filthy lucre off their hands. I don't know anyone who is flush with cash.
