The rooms are about 2 tons each (3x4x2.5 meters) with a basic layout not dissimilar from a ship cabin. There is a bed, a chair, table, small entertainment center and a small fresher at the rear. On the wall is a control for the rooms HVAC with an intercom that connects to the front desk. The entertainment center's screen is showing the meal times in the Boarding House's dining room as well as scrolling through 3 or 4 "ads" for local "sites of interest." Takheal sets his gear down and takes a few minutes to use the fresher. Afterwards, he steps out into the hallway to see if anyone else is ready to go do something else. The corridor is empty when Takheal steps out, but a few seconds later Gilroy opens the door to his room and looks out. Seeing the big Aslan, Gil steps out into the corridor and asks, "You going with me to make the delivery?" Tak notices that Gilroy has a slim package in his hand. It is about the size of an envelope, but Takheal can't see any writing on it.

Tokheletoi moved confidently past the human guards and through the human city. She nodded and smiled slightly at the hijinks of the woman leaving the station but said nothing as she trusted Takheal to maintain guard. When they reached their lodgings she again took in the setting especially the emergency exit and then went in to her room which adjoined that of Takheal. Tokheletoi briefly unpacked, used the 'fresher and was perusing the advertisements when her communicator pinged. She looked briefly and then sent an acknowledgement.
Heading out of her room Tokheletoi nodded to Takheal. "We might as well accompany for the drop off even if we stay out of sight or only nearby. I find the lodgings confining after our shipboard time."

Peng appears from his room in reply to Gil's ping and says, "Yeah. Let's get it done. Then let's find a bar."
With a sudden grin, he amends himself with: "Or better yet, a whorehouse."

Still, she was in charge. He lowers his ears and inclines his head as she appears. "As you wish," he tells her. He turns to the humans. "We are ready."

Tokheletoi swished her tail impatiently. "No houses of ill repute or at least not with Takheal and I. A bar would be adequate but let's avoid the... whore house."

Takheal's ears half-flatten in a expression of confusion. He speaks to Tokheletoi in Trokh. <<When we have a moment, would you explain this word to me?>>

Charlie arrives just in time to hear that and nod. “Unless it’ll set off an alarm, we might want to.” "There's no sign on it." Gil says walking over to the door that is supposed to lead to the stairs, "It's locked, too." he adds as he wiggles the door knob. "Let's at least make sure our key works on it." he says taking out the card key from his pocket and inserting it into the slot next to the door. Gil turns the knob pulls the door toward himself. It swings open revealing a dimly lighted foyer inside with concrete stairs with metal handrails leading up and down. The flights of stairs occupy most of the area in the small room. "Shall we?" he asks waving his hand toward the opening.

Takheal steps forward and begins climbing the stairs, looking for a door to the outside. JR Charlie follows with a grin for Gil. Takheal, followed by Charlie, (and I assume the rest of you...) ascend the stairs. There is a landing, a turn, and another set of stairs, then a door on one side of a second landing. The stairs continue up from there, presumably to upper floors. The door at this landing is also locked, but opens with any of your room keys. Gil, who remained at the bottom calls up, "I'm not closing this door until we know we can get out up there, just in case." With the upper door open you look out onto an alley. It is more a foot-path between buildings than down and dirty alley, though, as there are no piles of rubbish or trash tips blocking movement or creating hiding places. There is a small sign above the door with the name of the boarding house. The alley is dim as the close buildings on both sides block a lot of the sun, however you see lights at regular intervals up and down the length of the corridor. Looking up and down the alley you see other doors leading into other businesses and the like. There are even a pair of businesses with glass front display windows near the end of the alley to your left. One is to a pub/bar and the other appears to be a cobbler's store. Beyond the alley in both directions are busy streets. Gil joins you pulling the outer door closed and testing it saying with a nod, "Yep they lock on both sides, so make sure you have a key or you'll get trapped." "The address I have is this way." Gill points to the left, "It should be about a a half km walk. I guess we could try to get a cab or bus, but I don't have a problem walking. Do any of you?"

As Peng enters the stairwell, he glances curiously at the flight leading further down but then thinks . . .
[Internal Thought]Nah. Not worth botherin' 'bout. Our keys ain't about to let us into laundry an' maintenance.[/ Internal Thought]
Trudging upward in the wake of most of the rest (his general lack of alacrity tending to drop him toward the rear of any group), Peng emerges in time to hear Gil ask his question about walking versus riding.
Peng laconically replies, "Y'all know I'd rather ride than walk any day. But half a click ain't liable to kill me, if that's the general drift."

Looking around at the group, Peng adds thoughtfully, "Uh, Gil? Might'n a bunch like this spook the contact? I mean, he's probably expectin' just one guy, right?"

"I am fine with it," Takheal responds. “I’m good with it, too.” "Then off we go!" Gil says with a grin. As you walk down the alley you see through the windows on your right what looks like a cozy cafe with patrons sitting at tables eating. Behind them you can vaguely see people, mostly men, leaning against a bar being served drinks. Across the alley you see through the windows a woman seated at a strange looking table working on a shoe. A man is across the room sitting cross legged on an arm less chair working, he appears to be cutting leather or something similar with a pair of very big shears. In the window and on the far wall you can see several pairs of shoes on display. Out in the street, there are only a few ground cars traveling slowly in one direction...away from the port, you judge. The sidewalk pavement, on the other hand is crowded with people of all types and ages walking along. Just down the street is a large square where a lively market is located. Gil leads you through this busy area, around the edge of the market and toward a quieter street leading further from the downtown area. The street you are on has, what appear to be, expensive townhouses lining it. A small park filled with trees and flowers and surrounded by an iron picket fence marks where streets cross in this residential area. On the far side of the park, and across the street there an imposing structure...some sort of church by the look of it. Gil stops, looks at the church from across the street and checks his padd for the address. "Hum, it seems this church is where I'm supposed to deliver the package." he says with a bit of a frown, "Somebody called Steward Jones at this address."

I know I posted a reply to Peng's question about the party size, but I don't see it anywhere...
IAC, Gil and Peng will make the actual delivery. The rest can hang out in the park or maybe just visit the church like tourists do.

Gil crosses the street and walks through the open gate into the courtyard. He looks around and doesn't see anyone.
"Should we try the main building here, the sanctuary, I think they call it, or that building over that that looks like somebody's house." he points at a smaller building to the side of the sanctuary.
Looking around there are flower beds and small trees to the left of the sanctuary in front of the smaller building. A graveyard is to the right and it looks like it extends around to the back of the buildings. There are walkways of gravel and loose stone leaving to and through the graveyard and over toward the smaller building.
There is a wide walk of concrete leading to the four steps of the sanctuary. Up the steps is a covered portico with wide wooden doors beyond. The doors are closed and there is a plaque of, what looks like brass, on one of the doors. You can't read the plaque from where you are, you'll have to draw closer.

Peng cautiously advances close enough to read the plaque, trying to be quiet about it without looking suspicious . . .
[Internal Thought]A local religion. Uggh. This sort of thing can totally blindside a man, even get him killed.[/Internal Thought]

Gil behind Peng says, "I think we ought to try the building over there. Maybe it's the quarters for this Steward Jones guy we're suppose to hand this to." Tapping his coat under which he has the small package, "I'm not handing this over until I see the money he's supposed to deliver."

Tapping his coat under which he has the small package, "I'm not handing this over until I see the money he's supposed to deliver." "Sounds reasonable."Peng starts off toward the other building. "I'm bettin' 'Steward' don't refer to the crew position."Then Peng cocks his head and adds in a musing tone: "Or maybe it did, long time back. These hick religions are like that. What meant something simple to Great Grandpappy gets all dressed up fancy after bein' passed down a few gens."
