Chris taps his foot, smiling over the crowd as they tune in to the bard's excellent music. Once the faster-paced songs come 'round, he'll join the dancing. If a partner presents herself or can be found, he'll happily dance with her. If not, he'll laugh and drag Baldric onto the floor and dance with the agile halfling, laughing and smiling with the sheer pleasure of relaxing and enjoying himself. |

Sora doesn't try to dance [seeing no sense scaring everyone off the floor], instead waving Josiah out onto the floor. That worthy shyly hesitates for a moment, but then joins in with a will once a reel begins to form. When it's over, Josiah collapses back onto his bench in an exaggerated show of fatigue, in response to which display Sora quirks a sardonic brow. Josiah leans over and mutters, "All the lassies here'll have local suitors. Don't want trouble." |

Once his merriment and the music winds down, Chris finds his way back to the table and rejoins Xur. "Quite the diversion," he says with a smile, then tips his mug and enjoys a long drink. "Whets the appetite for adventuring, does it not?"

Josiah relinquishes his partner and also returns to the group's two tables, nodding agreeably to Chris as they both resume their seats.
As Xur announces his "short term" goal, Josiah looks at Sora with a raised eyebrow. Sora shrugs in response, then offers aloud: "Bags of holding are very useful objects. Acquiring even one would be a boon. Acquiring 'several' . . ."
Sora purses his lips as if to whistle, but no actual sound emerges.
". . . sounds RATHER expensive, to me."
Hiding a slight smile behind his mug, Sora offers to Xur: "Perhaps you could learn to write very, very small, so that each book you make is likewise smaller and thus easy to carry?"

At a table a little ways from the busiest part of the establishment sit two men, well worn but hale enough, one big and one little. The little man looks as if he groomed himself with a touch of care before appearing in public after the day, while the tall one seems to have washed his face and hands, but done little about the appearance of his travel-stained boots and garments. They seem to be in the middle of a familiar line of talk and appear perfectly insensible to the singing and dancing going on all about them. " But what can ye learn about herbs and such that ye don't already know? Setting off with nothing in mind? Who takes such a risk to hear about the use of a root or a flower? I feel I'm taking your money for nothing. I don't feel too sorry about it, as it suits me pretty well, but I don't understand what we're doing here." Herbs, the art of fighting, the stories of our fathers' fathers...whatever comes my way." He takes another pull as his eyes flick over to someone speaking nearby.
