This is the thread for raikenclw to create his character and up to one henchman. Use stats from this table (pick one for you and one for a henchman). Once the stats are picked then make the adjustments in thread for the race/species of the character. Since you have already used two sets of stats, here are 6 more sets instead of 8 more sets. STR | INT | WIS | CON | DEX | CHA | S.P. | 18 | 10 | 10 | 16 | 14 | 17 | 180 | 9 | 16 | 10 | 15 | 13 | 16 | 110 | 16 | 12 | 11 | 16 | 10 | 13 | 150 | 17 | 9 | 15 | 12 | 6 | 9 | 100 | 3 | 18 | 3 | 12 | 12 | 3 | 170 | 12 | 12 | 11 | 13 | 12 | 14 | 130 |
For each character please indicate here in the thread which of the five elements they have the greatest affinity for. This is something I will use behind the screen. The five elements are Fire Earth Water Air Ether

Deveuil name of Sora. He is a reptilian humanoid, reddish in color and scaly, he a set of horns growing out of their head at each temple and he has a tail which he uses mainly for balance. He has a natural armor class of 9 but as he ages it will gradually improve to a maximum of armor class 5 (not anytime soon). If misses his save versus magical fire damage he takes half damage, if he makes to save he takes no damage, he takes no damage from normal fire, he does take triple damage from cold attacks and at temperatures below 60°F he is -1 to all combat rolls and -1 to his AC due to being sluggish moving at 3/4 normal speed, at temperatures below 50°F those become -2 and moves at half normal speed and below 40°F he goes dormant until removed to a warmer area. All temperatures can be encountered in dungeons from cold to hot. Outdoors in the wilderness all temperatures can be encountered depending on the time of year and time of day. This area is slightly further north that he would usually range.

Hey, PD! Sorry to take so long to realize that this game was actually happening! No problem, people are still completing characters! It will not be too much longer.

Just curious . . . If Sora bundles up in heavy clothing (the equivalent of Human cold weather clothing), can he move at normal speed and/or avoid dormancy? E.g. the clothing raises his effective "felt" temperature into normal range. NOTE: I'm fine with him continuing to suffer the -1/-2 penalties, as such clothing would make it hard to move with normal fluidity.

E.g. the clothing raises his effective "felt" temperature into normal range. NOTE: I'm fine with him continuing to suffer the -1/-2 penalties, as such clothing would make it hard to move with normal fluidity. Really good insulation would allow him to travel and stay active without ceasing down to 30°F with the penalties for 3 hours, after that you would go dormant, but if he stops moving he would go dormant in a very short time and would have to be warmed up in a warm room. He would need to find or create a magical device to offset the cold in order to extend the range he can operate in and possibly to offset some of the penalty. If such a item exists it would be very rare, and if not very very expensive to create. The well insulated bulky clothing would reduce your dexterity by 3 points in addition to the noted penalties. Standard dungeon temperatures are 54°F, but temperatures lower than this can be encountered. Nighttime desert temperatures, temperate climates and mountains, above 6000' and other places can have quite low temperatures at times.

If you lie in a bed of hot coals for five hours, it will take 2 hours for your core temperature to drop below 60°F with an external temperature of 39°F and at the 3rd hour you would drop below 50°F and at 4 hours you would drop below 40°F. For each degree below 39°F subtract 10 minutes from these times. Lying in a bed of hot coals for five hours gives you the maximum benefit.
If you add the heavy insulated bulky clothing you could increase the above base times by an hour down to 30°F for little or no activity.
With full activity the heavy insulated bulky clothing would extend you to 20°F up to 8 hours of constant full activity.

Of course if you obtained or created non-bulky magical superinsulated clothing.....

[Joke!] That could be arranged, if you really wanted it, but then there would be the issue of what kind of undead. There is a great difference in a zombie and a vampire. Of course he could be polymorphed into something warm blooded.

Maybe Sora will try something extreme after he goes dormant at the worst possible moment, thus leaving poor Josiah to guard his unconscious cool body against lethal threats.

I love it when players give me free ideas! Oh, then you're going to positively love me. I've so often been the DM/GM/Referee/etc that I simply can't keep myself from imagining appropriate complications for my [rare] player characters. I have had fellow players threaten to gag me IRL, if I continued to blurt these out at the table.
