reaction cards are noted as r/O or r/L etc. most letters have at lest a few but L and O are filled w them. These cards can only be played in reaction to your foes actions but almost any action may react to any other card play or action. If you play a reaction on your turn(remember u can't react to you own plays or actions)it counts as one of your 3 card plays on your turn
Reaction cards are one of the things that are the most fun in the game. I have been playing in excess of 25 years and every once in a while I find a new use of an old card. As noted else where there is no building a deck w/o luck cards(unless you are deliberately giving an advantage)
if you react to something you cannot react again f you foe doesn't react, you can however play an unlimited amounts of cards at the same time.
One card of note: Instant Reaction. It enables you to use another reaction card a second time, you may play it w your card or in reaction to a raeaction of the other player
