I was thinking that it made sense to put the folks with the best AC up front. I was also thinking that we would be more likely to keep retainers if we treat them well, don't just make them"bait." Usually, I would put hired spears in the second row, but we don't have enough PCs for that. We need to protect the magic user in the center. So, I put the spears in the back to protect him. If we go with your suggestion, we will need to put two PCs with high AC in the back. That keeps us a little bit from our role in directing exploration. Let me know if I've convinced you. If not, I am will go with your suggestion. Who wants to drop the coin to purchase the mapping material? I am up for it, just let me know. At this time, the Mayor will provide 10 sheets of common parchment, a few quill pens (let's say 3), and a small vial of ink for you. We can roll on when you guys settle a marching order, I think... But for now, I'll set up an intro post for you guys getting over the river and near to the dungeon entrance unless you've got anything else to set up first. |

By the way, my posts won't be so huge once we've gotten into the action. The huge posts are only due to initial set-up; Once that's covered, post size will normalize for most stuff.

Guys, I'm super sorry about my extended absence.
My computer is in the Best Buy Geek Squad for a failed hard drive and ram stick. I won't get it back until Monday evening, and might not get it serviceable again until Wednesday.
I'm really sorry for the inconvenience! If you hang in there, I can get you all going again around the middle of the coming week.

If we agree on the top of the map being north. My vote is east. Heh, I'm showing my new-ness here. Was there something in the game-thread that lead you to believe otherwise, guys, or even the orientation of the map off of the area map? I need to get this down so that everything is intuitive, so if something did lead any of you to think otherwise, please let me know! As I look at it, if the river is 'north' of the cave entrance, that actually makes the top of the page SOUTH. But all I really wanna do here is explore the dungeon  Still, though, this could be a pretty colossal mistake on my part if I don't get this right. DM's gotta have they're ducks in a row, bro! |

Ok guys, thank you. It's inside the reference sub-board, where the maps and post your character thread is. I was actually hoping you guys couldn't see it, so I could use it for DM only info and notes and stuff that would spoil you guys. Just needed to find out if you could see it before I posted there. Can you check to see if it comes up if you do a view all recent posts thing here please?

toddI need to know what Draca's memorized spell is for 1st level, please. Also, something I forgot to tell you is that Draca begins with a book of 1st level MU spells in his inventory. FYI, I've updated his info in the reference threads also. He turns out having the max xp bonus for both classes due to his abilities. Unless you have OD&D you won't see this, because I'm doing xp bonuses the OD&D way (as I interpret them) instead of the Delving Deeper way. Any questions on how this worked out, just ask.
