Starting life as an ordinary, pure black vulture, They acquired a taste for unusual prey, they had a taste for dragons. Often living high in mountainous dragon county. They were struggling to survive as the dragons were having none of it when there existence was discovered by a dragon hating Arch Wizard. Gephard had been scared by a dragon fight when he was a young man, leaving scars on his emotions too. He gathered up the remaining vultures and began to experiment with them, using the notes of the mage who had created hippogryphs.
He increased there size, intelligence( as smart as a very smart non magic dog) and made them rapid breeders. But the most important change he made was to give them their magic auras, Gephard did not survive there completion.....
Giant Black Vultures are 6 feet tall with 35 foot wing spans, they are fierce fighters but still prefer dead flesh. They come in 3 breeds, each with a different magic ability
The first breed has an aura of friendship. projected 60' around them. This causes sentient beings to calmly walk toward them if they fail a saving throw. This dispels when the vulture hits the effected creature with a bite.
The second breed has an aura of rot. Living beings start to putrefy taking a small amount of damage just being near them (no save). This can be very deadly as he 30' auras can overlap.
(breed 3 coming soon)

The Darkest Red Rose
A long time ago, a mage went to a druid for help. He wanted to create a magic flower to be used as a material component for spells. When the druid was successful , he changed his mind about his creation and did not want to share. The mage stole the roses and teleported away. The druid cursed his creation. The curse makes it difficult to grow and restricted the size of the bush.
The Darkest Red Rose bloomes 2 times a year at the equinoxes. When plucked in full bloom, it can be used in casting fire spells, adding 2 d6 to damage

because this is the city at the edge of oblivion, Magic Items are very very plentiful, It should not be uncommon for a starting fighter to have A +2 sword and +1 shield and armor. Potions and scrolls would be very rare as no one is making them. Golums for home security are available to the wealthy

Jakata
The serpent men had trouble, so they created these< but they proved to be a mutinous bunch. They are the products of magical geanspiicing. They are a combo of black panther and jack rabbit. They are super fast(always win Int) and supernatural Luck. and 16 strength(2-4 HD D10) Each tribe is centered around a High Cha "Inventor" Who leads them to inovation in combat. Every Tribe of 70ish Males(no females, breed w humans.) The leader has been gifted w the ability to train his followers in special tactics ,unique To that leader for example. 0ne tribe uses combat chains as weapon. Another is trained to fight in pairs w shield wall.

War Clubs
Many clubs exist that are based on old army units and adventuring teams.75% of these clubs are simply an excuse to drink w a few slave girls thrown in. Th remaining 25% are bloodthirsty and often go out of town and kill Jakatas and barbarian. As these live relatively close to town it keeps them angry and they do counter terror. No attempt to rain them in as the city is in serious need for their military might. In battle they squabble and demand to take over. This is the one area that the city does not give in to.

Hungry Tumbleweeds
It is almost impossible to believe. Simply mind bending. These carnivores are actually the strangest undead you can meet! With ac as plate and 2HD, these animated plants are found in desert and grass lands. They are effected by anything that harms undead, hiding among ordinary tumbleweeds. Whats next Killer Tomatoes!?!?
Ever wonder where minor evil souls go that are unclaimed. Wonder no more. Minor evil souls wander unclaimed throughout the worlds.ordinary tumbleweeds attract them for unknown reasons. These souls also tend to group and somehow find the weeds. When the weeds are disposed of there is a 50% chance that the souls will survive and go into another weed.

Would a cleric even know to turn them?
