the Luck stat is from Crypts and Things, by Newt Newport of D101 Games, sightly moded by yours truely.
The stat is general as D3 plus 8. most saving throws are determined by rolling 2d6 against your Luck and then subtracting 1 from the number. It also can be rolled against for a variety of uses, for example to get an extra attack or do more damage. The trick is to do a careful balance in the number of saves put on the PCs because it doesn't take many to lower stat significantly.
i want to play test this IF I go back to running as I have very little experiance w the idea.
Next up: Sanity

I have heard of Luck stats, but I am not really into them. Don't some games use them extensively?

I've seen it used in Computer RPG games, but for table top, I think that a player makes his own luck. I get that they have to seperate themselves from D&D, especially when it went sue happy.

I like this stat, remind me the old gamebooks of Fighting Fantasy. They had exactly that rule, every time it was used it was lowered by one point.
