I posted this on the ODD74 boards, figured folks here might be interested too. Here's the Lizardfolk PC race in my OD&D Wilderlands game. I envision them as being somewhere between the classic D&D lizardman and the Sleeth from Gamma World 1e/2e. Some Wilderlands lizardfolk (NPCs only) actually have the telepathic and precognitive powers of the Sleeth, and occupy positions of great power and influence in their tribe. Lizardfolk are common to the jungles and swamps of the Wilderlands. They are fierce fighters who revel in battle and are often found in mercenary bands or pirate crews. As with many of the beastfolk races, lizardfolk tribes and sub-races vary in their attitude toward human and demi-human civilization. Description: human-height; scaly skin of brownish, greenish, or bluish hue; long tail; clawed hands and feet Class Options: Lizard Folk may advance to 8th level as Fighters. Languages: Saurian or Draconic, Common Traits: Listen 5+, Open Doors 5+, Find Secret Doors 6 Poison resistant: save +4 vs. natural poisons Tough hide: -1 to Armor Class Hold breath for minutes equal to CON x2 Camouflage: expert at hiding in jungle and swamp terrain (2+ on d6, attack negates invisibility) Cold-blooded: Lizardfolk hate the cold. They suffer -1 to all actions in Cold environments and -2 to all actions in Very Cold environments. Protection from Cold negates this penalty.
