I don't follow anything that WotC does, but I saw this thread over at another forum and I filled out the survey. I hope you do too. Of course the survey leaves out the spot to write the things they need to know, but don't want to hear Let WotC know what you think. “What are the things that make you play D&D? The open world, opportunities to optimize your character, to tell a shared story with friends, iconic art, or maybe all of the above!”

Took the survey and gave them an earful. Pity they did not ask the question, "What would you buy if we had it?"

When prompted why I would not promote D&D to others I said, I don't like 5e and the only reason I am playing it is my brother is visiting from California. I told them that I would promote OD&D and B/X D&D, 1e Greyhawk Folio, '83 Greyhawk Box set, 1e Forgotten Realms box set if put back into print and if they published a OD&D and B/X D&D version of Eberron. That and if they stop politicalizing the D&D brand.

Using their D&D brand to promote Pride month and if the screen cap I saw on a FB RPG group post is true, it was stating how Waterdeep is known to be home to varied gender identities (not a direct quote as I left the group and can't post a link). Paizo is far worse, as in their Play test PDf on pages 5 & 6 basically lectures the reader on how inclusive Pathfinder & RPGs are meant to be - which I am not opposed to but when you are basically told to police the community and how you should run the game. That doesn't fly with me.
I have zero problem with the hobby be inclusive as I'll game with everyone no matter their politics, faith, gender, sexuality and ethnicity - as long as you are good and kind person. But WotC took away their support from a gaming shop for having a Kekistani flag up in the shop.

I have never chased anyone away from my table or ever had anyone who needed to be chased away. As long as your not disruptive or a jerk or creepy you are good. But I won't be dictated too by a game company as to how I conduct things at my table that is going too far. I decide how I run my table, not some corporate suit. Stick to creating games and stay out of politics. And this thread should also stay out of politics. I filled out the survey and invited them to support DIY play and listed some of the things that I would buy. I wrote at length on how they could sell me maps as an example. I looked up Kekistani on Google and it seems to be a fictional ethnic group that opposes inbreeding/incest. Seems an odd group to oppose.

Kekistan/Kek is a fictitious ethnic group of green skin people & meant to parody Identity politics be it White Nationalist or leftist Identitarians. The creators had meant to use Kekistani as their ethnicity to troll census takers focusing on peoples ethnic background, which they may still do.

I thought many of the questions were very odd, I just don't understand what they were trying to learn. Some where clearly meant to gauge what type of products I'd buy which I made clear none except print versions of classic D&D rules & supplements I desire.

I'm wondering if they meant the PLAYER or the PC causes chaos. I guarantee many childlike and children characters (and one Deep One and a couple of sand creatures) in my campaign have caused a ruckus. Some players can't separate the fiction from the real, but we DID throw dice at those players after we finished applauding them. But that's just because throwing dice at friends is so much fun.

That was fun. I like the question about what are your three favorite games that you are currently playing. My list is OD&D Chess Chinese Checkers

I filled it out and kept to my classic roots. I also pointed out that current price points and the inclusion of Real Life(TM) issues in the products are a turn off. And I made sure to mention that S&W was my game of choice.

Bluffing with a seemingly real word which doesn't officially exist in the OWL or SOWPODS - or (sneaky) it does, but you think no one will recognize it. If no one challenges you, you get to keep it. If someone challenges and it IS a fake word, you remove the word and lose your turn. (Devastating in Scrabble to lose a turn!) If someone challenges you and it is a REAL word, THEY lose a turn and so many points. I'd have to refresh my memory by reading the rules again.
All the fun of poker, but with a strong use of 2-letter words and memorized weirdo words.

I would love to talk to someone privately, like run into them in a national park, who works at WOTC, not so much to tell them what I think of anything as to learn how they think about this stuff. I can barely imagine!
