30 Dimensional Fatigue Events Our premise is that the following disaster happened and what kind of world or worlds could have or did result from this disaster. If there are (will be) multiple ideas, then additional threads World Ib, World Ic, etc can be created.

There is an example scenario, but don't let that limit your ideas, write your own scenario and rift off of that. This is a group brainstorming exercise so go for it.

Big Boom 1 - the Moon is destroyed. Tides are gone, the planet is bombarded with lunar debris, in addition to being punished by the explosion blast itself. Lots of Armageddon/Deep Impact moments of exciting big chunks of the Moon smashing into the Earth. Civilization ends, near-nuclear winter, and the cool visual of the remnants of the Moon lingering in it's old orbit, a cloud of rubble and debris that routinely lights up the night with meteor showers
Big Boom 2 - Deathstar Earth. A massive explosion doesn't just blow a huge chughole in the planet, a large enough chunk of the crust and upper mantle is calved off into orbit, become a low orbiting satellite. Oceans recede hundreds of feet as the crater becomes a magma bottomed oceanic abyss miles and miles deep. Humanity survives on the far side of the planet, and in space, billions perish.
Big Boom 3 - The Sundered Earth. The explosion reverberated through the planet, shattering Earth to the core. The core remains intact, but the tectonic plates were lines of weakness, and now the fault lines are actual crevasses and abysses that are hundreds of miles deep, and seismic activity is nearly constant. Eventually the sundered Earth will settle, and the mantle will flow back together, but it will be eons before Sundered Earth settles into Scarface Earth

Big Boom 1 - the Moon is destroyed. Tides are gone, the planet is bombarded with lunar debris, in addition to being punished by the explosion blast itself. Lots of Armageddon/Deep Impact moments of exciting big chunks of the Moon smashing into the Earth. Civilization ends, near-nuclear winter, and the cool visual of the remnants of the Moon lingering in it's old orbit, a cloud of rubble and debris that routinely lights up the night with meteor showers. By random chance a survivalist bunker makes it through and most of them made it in before the worst wind & storm effects hit. They survive the near-nuclear winter and the sun comes out again. Pick up the story about 200 years after Big Boom 1. Pick this up about 1000 years after the event, massive quakes and volcanic activity continue. Eventually the sundered Earth will settle, and the mantle will flow back together, but it will be eons before Sundered Earth settles into Scarface Earth. A settlement of 100,000 are on the moon. They were nearly self-sufficient and now they will have to be. Pros: there are 10,000 people on Mars and the earliest stages of terra-forming are underway. The asteroid belts are being mined and choice asteroids are being put around Mars and now they will redirect a water-ice one to the moon. Cons: can they maintain the tech long enough to complete the project and move most of the people from the moon to Mars.
