Hey mao, you never said if you were going to post for Blackmoor Week and Dave Arneson Game Day, so are you going to? Even if you are not writing a post you could share the other bloggers post each day, one share post for each day. So right now you have two days to post for if you are doing that. It is ok if you don't it is not a requirement.  |

OK all of you fine blog posters, congratulations on a successful and impressive run of posts for Blackmoor Week and Dave Arneson Game Day 2018. As we can see in this post where they were all compiled it is quite a bit. Well Done! Next up is in January and since we have the holidays coming up that gives us almost three months to get ready, but we have all of these pesky (kidding) family things that are going to occupy a lot of our time, as they should. So I wanted to remind you all of what is coming up and that is the following. Publication of OD&D in January 1974. Starting January 2019 Original Dungeons & Dragons is 45 years old. 1. Celebrate the whole month of January 2019 for the 45th birthday of OD&D with as many good focused posts that we can muster and then continue on an annual basis. ......... International Original Dungeons & Dragons Month..... 2. We arbitrarily selected Saturday January 25th, 2019 as OD&D day and would like for everyone to post on that date, even if that is the only day that you can post on OD&D for the whole month. ......... International Original Dungeons & Dragons Day..... Coincidently, increment (Jon Peterson) picked the same date some time ago, but I was not aware of that when we were picking the date. So anyone that wants to get a jump on it now, can. Some of our bloggers posted everyday for eight days for Dave Arneson and I don't recommend that, unless that is just you. But our goal is for everyone to post as many times as they can (say at least three times) during the month of January, plus everyone post on the 25th if they can. That would work out to one post a week. Of course everyone is free to post as much or as little as you want, I'm just the cheerleader in this. My suggestion is that a couple of weeks before Christmas we(I) start a thread here on the forum for this event and one of our blog posters volunteer to do a heads up blog post announcing the upcoming event sometime in December. Once I start the thread if someone wants to volunteer to do the blog post, just let us know then, or you can let us know now and starting the thread can be your reminder. Maybe you all could even collaborate on that announcement post for one of the blogs here on the forum before it is posted on the blog. Any other ideas or suggestions please post here for now. |
