The ‘Wælfāgland – The Blood-Stained Land’, is a mini-setting located in the Multiverse of Akar. It is primal setting inspired in part by the art of Paul Bonner & Justin Sweet for the Trudvang Chronicles RPG, as well as music of the Folk, Pagan & Viking Metal subgenres, plus the Anglo-Saxon language. I love the more Germano-Nordic vibe of Trudvang art and since I’m not spending hundreds of dollars to collect the Trudvang books just to mine them for my OD&D based campaigns – I figured I’d just steal inspiration from the art. Below is some examples of the art that inspires it: The Wælfāgland, is a region that is a contested land between various Human & inhuman tribes that surround it. It was once home to the great and magical Ælfgeard (Elf Land) - now it is a corrupted blood-stained land, where these tribes war over the right to claim the lost elfin relics and magic of Ælfgeard. It is also haunted by deadly spirits (Wælgryre), dragons (Draca), Trolls (Hŷdelsfolc) and wandering elves – either the remnants of Ælfgeard or from other elf-lands in hope of reclaiming lost relics and magic for themselves. The Wælfāgland, is a hilly and forested Vale with a rolling central region where battles are fought south of the Grimmweald. The Grimmweald, is a twisted and corrupted forest in which lies the ruins of Greneham (Green Home), the lost capital of Ælfgeard. It is haunted by Wælgryre, corrupted elves and potentially a Draca calls it home as well.

Great art and great naming of things too! It pays to have an Old English dictionary & access to a Proto-Germanic one as well.
