Do you have a House Rules Document? Is it available and to what extent is it available? Will you share it with us if you have one?

Sweet, I just glanced through it so far, but it looks really sharp.

I had one for my aborted Swords & Wizardry Complete campaign but I scrapped it after the group imploded. I'll be creating one for OD&D or B/X D&D when I run them. Mainly clarifying how I'll rule on things so I don't need to make as many snap rulings when needed.

Yes but have I been scaling heights with ease all my life? Or is it so bad that I trip over my mother's rabbit fence around her garden.

And it is an amazing piece of work! [thumbs up] Thanks, it part of a larger project I been working on a while. Basically a collection of the things I been doing and organizing them as supplements focused on a particular topic. While it would be useful to have a clone of my own for the times I sell to game store, there are a lot of them out there. Coupled with the fact that the default for most refs is to kitbash whatever for their campaign. Why not make kitbashing part easy? The plan is for each supplements to have some rules, some "stuff" (monsters, items, spells, etc), and material useful for a campaign. For example one of the things I plan to talk about in the Red Book of War (about Fighters) is my take on arena and gladiators. The Chromatic Scroll of the Heavens (Clerics) will have stuff about the nuts and bolts of temples.

Okay, you think it's gonna be work, but you think you can make it barring bad luck.

I have a few house rules and they are not written down. I make rulings, but often those are only a one time situation, so I don't think of them as house rules.

I have one for my player's called "Dave's D&D". Can't find the electronic file and seem to only have a printed copy. May have to recreate it one day. Was cobbled together from all sorts of sources, such as other people's blog posts. My AD&D loving players weren't impressed with a maximum +2 ability bonus. Six classes, got rid of Clerics and had Fighter, Thief, Magic-User (aka Sorcerers), Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit. Each with a different prime requisite. No alignment. Class-based weapon damage. Dungeon Tasks open to all classes as a 1d6 mechanic. Spells could be cast as Vancian or ritual sorcery.

My house rules document is in the Arduous Adventures in the Kingdom of Arduin. I need to update it - although AD&D 1e forms the base rules, I have rolled some things back to OD&D.

This makes sense, considering Arduin's origins. I've speculated that the Arduin Trilogy is closer to the actual gameplay of the original players than the AD&D iron-clad rules. Those who were there can quickly dissuade me of this long-held notion. All my opinions are subject to change as fresh facts are input.

I think of Arduin as an extension in many ways of Blackmoor. They both exemplify what I mean when I say gonzo.

I used 1e for two reasons: 1) In my high school and junior college days, everyone that talked about Arduin was playing 1e, so I thought that the underlying ruleset, and 2) I had more 1e referee time under my belt compared to OD&D. So I am the mistaken one, not you!

I have house rules, but they are not handed out to the players, I let them know when they need to know prior to decisions.
