Koss and Magni will attack the nearest orc. Ok, you will be able to push into the room and fight next round. Unless someone wants to cast a spell, I think that will bring us to the next round...

Koss steps over Xeric and attacks orc 1 (17 hit for 6 damage) and drops it Fat Burt attacks orc 2 (4 miss) Magni steps over Adara and attacks orc 3 (18 hit for 6 damage) and drops it Megathew attacks orc 3 (6 miss)

Kaira, directs Torn and Tern to move Adara back from the fray and then go back on guard as she and Desiree check to see if anything can be done for Adara. If she is still alive they will render first aid pouring a little wine on the wounds, treating and bandaging them.

Adara is pulled back and she seems stable (at 0 hp, she will recover to 1 hp after a day's rest).
Does anyone want to try and pull Xeric out of the fray?
The next round the Orcs again win initiative (2 vs 1)
Crud... rewind...
The orcs fail morale and attempt to break away, do you take parting shots at them?

EDIT x2: Seeing the two remaining enemies turn tail, Koss looks at his fallen comrades with clenched teeth. He will take a swipe at the nearest fleeing Orc as long as it doesn't require more than 10-15ft of movement away from his party to reach.

First a question, I thought we had a player whose character was named John the Tame, but he is not in the character list but was in the marching order, was that mao 's character and if so I must have missed it when he dropped out/was removed. Two, with the rewind I will still cast the spell and try to charm the least damaged looking orc. We may need a disposable sword. If successful I will check his wounds if any and bandage them. Three, Odessa and Djon Figgs will watch the other doors for this round Four, Desiree and Boris will pull Xeric and Magni out of the fray and check on their condition and do what they can for them. Tern and Torn will help the injured who are on their feet.

Charm person does work on orcs (it works on humanoids up to gnolls). Check the rewind edit, I messed up and forgot two of the orcs were dropped, which caused them to fail morale. xizallian and sixdemonbag go ahead and make any changes to your posts to reflect the changed circumstances...

Oh, crud, I was going to run things, but Magni did not go down...
The charm does fail, so
Koss, Fat Burt, Magni, and Megathew could all take a swing at the departing orcs.

Ok, I'll assume everyone takes a parting shot:
Fat Burt attacks orc 2 (14 hit for 6) and drops it Megathew attacks orc 4 (15 hit for 5) and drops it
(the other two hit also, but no need...)

The room is 30' East/West and 20' North/South. You have entered via a door at the East end of the North wall. There is another door on the West end of the North wall.
There is a human corpse in the South East corner fallen partially on his shield. There are 4 crude bedrolls and various signs of orc life scattered about.

You said I was at 0 HP and stable. Am I awake? and if so can I talk? Once tended to, you will awake. Once you get a days rest, you will have 1 hp. Now that downed PCs are being attended to, Xeric's survival (roll 10 vs CON 10 - 2 fails), sadly he succumbs to his wounds.

Adara suggests, " We need to watch the doors, search this room and take stock of where we go from here. A number of us are wounded and friend Xeric is dead."

" Yes, let's do as Adara suggests", says Kaira. "Let's search the room and take any thing of value, including any metal weapons regardless of their condition. And let's spike the far door and back up and check out the doors in the hallway, after that a strategic retreat may be in order. We are not really ready for another fight right now."

OOC: This sounds like a good plan to me, anyone else want to comment. Once we are out we can take stock and look for a replacement for Xeric.

The orcs were wielding spears and each caries a serviceable dagger. The shield under the human seems to be in very good condition considering the refuse in the rest of the room. Among the orcs bedding you find 1200 sp and 40 gp.
Anything else you wish to do before exiting?

"Xeric have many silver" Megathew notes.
He checks the unidentified human corpse for signs of life, then wipes the orc blood from his battle axe on the corpse's clothes.

I think we should quietly check the other doors in the hallway on the way out. Might be something of value behind them and we previously heard nothing, so if the doors open without trouble, we should quickly check them out and then scoot.

The human corpse shows no signs of life...
So collecting silver and gold? Anything else?
Consensus on checking the other doors on the way out?

Collecting silver, gold, all weapons that look usuable or any metal that a blacksmith would buy. I would like to check the doors in the hallway on the way out. Since there was no noise behind them and nothing came out during the battle, the risk should be small.
