While the Youth Choir sings, I'll post what I have from the first break.
Shiyazthar human fighter, with tendencies towards ranger attitude. Lawful Earth-aspected 50$ (50 $ilver) S 17 I 11 W 18 Co 17 D 14 Ch 12 Leader of this group, if anyone is leading. He doesn't consider himself a leader, but he is usually the only one to make a decision or to stop an argument.
Kavita lady elf magical person Lawful Ether-aspect 100$ S 10 I 17 W 14 Co 16 D 9 Ch 4 Lower Ch may be due to the inherent weirdness of the elven folk, who are rarely seen, at least by Shiyazthar's band. Who truly trusts the fey folk? For some reason she thinks she'll find herself in the company of Shiyazthar.
Jethro human cleric Lawful Air-aspect 180$ S 18 I 5 W 12 Co 11 D 11 Ch 10
Before the cleaver wound to his head (He doesn't want to talk about it.) he was, they say, a near genius. Now of weak and erratic memories (some of which are real.) he struggles to remember all he once knew of the Two Lords of Light. Sometimes he seems to remember his prayers and does have some strong healing skills or spells, which - he is sure - was geased to him by the Two Lords of Light. He was Shiyazthar's best friend once, and Shiyazthar still feels responsible for him.
Mr Kray human grey Neutral Water-aspect 80$
S 10 I 10 W 11 Co 9 D 14 Ch 12
He's had a taste of magic once, and he'd do anything to get it again - and more. This group goes where forbidden things are - and that's just what he wants.
Scthe elf grey
Neutral Water-aspect 70$
S 12 I 8 W 6 Co 13 D 10 Ch 13
If Mr Kray gains magic, Scthe plans to steal it from Kray's corpse.
Bluto dwarf fighter Lawful Earth-aspected 100$
S 18 I 7 W 6 Co 11 D 15 Ch 4
Jethro is his buddy. He will protect Jethro, and hug him and pet him and maybe name him George.
Been up tonight with Cherie in pain as well as me. Conference has been great, convening at 8:30 pm, ready to start again at 11 am. If Cherie permits and I wake up soon, I shall buy weapons and geegaws for the group. All the above and tomorrow's shopping are with your hoped approval of course.

I appreciate your enthusiasm mormonyoyoman, I am assuming that Shiyazthar is your PC and the CHA of 12 gets you up to 4 Henchman and you have five listed. Plus you don't yet have funds to support even one hireling, let alone a henchman. However, if you want to tell me that Kavita & Shiyazthar have a relationship (even if they don't realize it yet) that could work. The others could be added later as you go. Thoughts?

My error again. Thought I was supposed to use all those characteristics stats that were in that table.
Yes, Kavita & Shiyazthar have a relationship, but it may be antagonistic. All she knows is that some dream or spirit told her that her destiny is tied to him. He's not sure at all why anyone would want to hang around him. A nonusual adventurer, he doesn't drink or wench, prefers the wild to civilization, but is a sucker for children. Riches don't mean much, but he'll do anything to help someone who (he thinks) needs help.
I suppose I'd better find where my LBBs are packed so I can see if I can refresh myself on how this followers thing works. Feel free to use the others for NPCs so those stats don't go to waste.

Poor Jethro. I was getting fond of him. Still don't know if the Cleaver that nearly lobotomized him was Ward or June.

They won't go to waste you just don't get them all on day one. Let's start slow and let things develop in game. So you have Shiyazthar and Kavita (semi-groupie/stalker fanatic).

You would scare Shiyazthar if'n he heard you. As for the others, like I said, they're all yours if you want them. I count myself lucky. For all I knew, you might have gone ballistic over the "Leave It to Beaver" pun.
Or maybe I SHOULD be scared of what happens in ame.

And yes you should, but not for the reasons you think.

Hey, you're talking to a guy who has been shot at, was supposed to be dead several times, married an Ozark girl, raised three teenage daughters, AND gamed with two of Arneson's original players GMing - one of whom painted the cover of OD&D's Supplement 3 or 4. (the girl being sacrificed on the cover) Of all those things, I think I'm more afraid of the Ozark girl than anything else. Raising teenage daughters comes a close second. You think Murkhill is scary after that? Bring it on!

I started a Real Good response at home, but got kidnapped to the grandmonkeyhouse for Family Home Evening with meatloaf, rolls, cake, nasty vegetables, games, and lesson. It will probably be Too Late to respond by the time I negotiate my release.

In real life, no I haven't been swallowed by a boa constrictor. In game, a PC of mine was, IIRC (If I Recall Correctly) swallowed by a giant snake conjured up by my wife's character, a priestess of some snake cult. Lonnnng time ago. 1980? The game was run by (Again, IIRC.) the wife of the duo aforementioned. And after three concussions (one in Korea, one in Alaska, one in Carolina) it would be amazing if I could remember the names of the GMs of which I typed. I think the husband's name was Frank or Fred Holland...I'm at a loss. Have lived in all but two states of the union and two foreign countries, and been friends with more people than I once thought existed. You move everywhere and live long enough, you end up meeting almost everyone. You tend to remember personalities, but not names and not always faces. I once joked with a captain that I was terrible at names and faces, and wasn't even good at remembering races. Luckily, I can usually remember a person's species.
Wait - I think the husband's name was Joe, and he was Navy or prior Navy.
Stupid short-term memory losses.

Mr PD tol' me to post this in the Character Creation thread(s). I assume everyone has access to this, but if they don't and only Mr PD can read this - uh, everybody except Mr PD, close your eyes now!
Shiyazthar, being of little coin, has accumulated the following in his travels:
Battle Axe - 7 $ - Being mainly an outdoors, forest & jungle sort of fellow (Today, he'd consider himself - alternately - as Flynn's Robin Hood and Jay Silverheels' Tonto.) the axe is more used as a camping tool. It was worth the extra 4 $ for a well-balanced axe for throwing purposes, mainly for sport.
Short bow - 25 $ - A fellow who lives outdoors who isn't good with a projectile weapon is a hungry man. In peacetime, he makes his own arrows. If he knows he'll be going into battle (dungeons, towers, Flying J gas stations) he'll reluctantly purchase arrows made by full-time fletchers.
Leather armor - 15 $ - Again, he usually avoids trouble, but well-kept leather lasts longer, is better for inclement weather, and useful for the many scratches, scrapes, and insects that are part of outdoor life in pre-industrial life. Plus, he looks so darned good in leather - he's pretty sure.
Large sack - 2 $ - One has to carry what one kills for food, and a caribou is just too much for one man to eat pre-refrigerators. He's still getting used to hunting enough for the elf, though she seems picky and, when she eats meat, prefers to overcook it. How can that be healthy?
Waterskin - 1 $ - Again, he stays away from anything which he fears may be addictive. He saw his father ruin his family's lives via cheap dwarf ale, and almost fell into that trap himself. He knows he has the same "weakness" (as he considers it) as his father, and is terrified of it. He says he doesn't want to talk about it, but if you get him started, he won't shut up.
6 Torches - 1 $ - Buying torches doesn't make sense to him, but Kavita talked him into it. Sometimes she's right about these hunches.
This leaves him with one silver. No matter how much he has to spend, he'll always try to retain one silver. "For luck."
Kavita's motivations aren't quite so obvious. She has accumulated:
Dagger - 3 $ Flail (could be easily mistaken for a shorter grain flail) - 8 $ Short bow - 25 $ Quiver/20 arrows - 10 $ Leather armor ("because metal is too freakin' noisy" Yes, she does sometimes talk like that. Weird.) 15 $ Staff, oak - 1 $ Water/wine/Diet Dew skin - 1 $ 6 Torches - 1 $ ("Yes, Shiya, we shall need that many torches.")
This leaves her with 31 $. Arwen knows what she'll spend it on; I certainly don't. She doesn't seem the type to go ga-ga over shoes.
