The basic PC Races are these:
Humans Elves Dwarves Hobbits Lizard Folk Insect Folk Aliens
I will be expanding on these in posts below. If you have strong desire to play something else, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
Some of these I have posted elsewhere on the forum and that will gradually be moved here and expanded.

Aliens - Placeholder - to be expanded - many different varieties.
Aliens come from other worlds and in some cases from different dimensions and in all cases have been stranded here. There are small and some larger, but growing communities scattered around the world. A few choose to adventure.
This will all be fleshed out more.

Deveuils aka "demons" dimensional travelers
One type of aliens are called "demon" by humans and the aliens accepted the nickname as short for "dimension traveler" - Aliens from another dimension that are stranded and cannot get back and so made a life here. Over the centuries the various alien races of which you are one have become semi-accepted more or less even "demons".
Demons are reptilian humanoids, they are reddish in color and scaly, they have horns and many suspect that they really are demons or have a demonic heritage. They tend towards Chaos and tend towards Evil, but most are Neutral in Alignment and some few are L(Awful) and strongly Good in nature and among these few even Paladinhood is possible.

I left these short on purpose so that they could be developed in play. Also the Deveuils is something that Richard and I worked together on. So if you have a concept, pm me with it and we will work it out. I am using this game as a play-test and since I have a pool of creative people and 24 hour access (kinda) it gives me flexibility that I did not have in face to face gaming when meeting once per month, so I want to take advantage of that too.

Sounds intellectually risky, sort of the virtual (Dare we say "of the spirit" when we're encompassing mind, emotion, and experiences?) version of defusing a bomb to create a field of corn. I think this deserves an exalt, but it may have to be awarded posthumously after you've broken your brain.

Often the more risk the more potential gain and in this case the potential far out weighs any risk.

Admin Pete I was wonder since mormonyoyoman seems to be playing two characters (or is the female Elf an NPC?) could I as well? Normally I wouldn't but since this is a play by post I could manage it with ease. I was think of having my main character be an Elf & the secondary one be a Ratacian alien. Please let me know, if so I'll pick a second stat block from your last stat block post in the 3d6 thread.

(or is the female Elf an NPC?) She didn't start out that way. I only knew she had amnesia but skills, and Mr PD went with that to make her mysterious for me to portray. Currently I portray her as "predicting" things she doesn't know and hardly remembers after saying, and questing to find out who she is. Imagine a fantasy "Man Called Shenandoah" - a terrific but short-lived western series from (*cough* *cough*) years ago with Robert Horton searching for his missing memory in the American West that never existed, save in fiction.

Why don't run the Ratacian alien as your primary character and you could take over the Warrior Twins characters. Why don't you take a look and see if either one or both interests you. Then we can go from there if that does not work, you are not obligated to take either BTW.

Ooo, I second this idea! Anything which forces Mr PD into thinking on his feet, such as stranger than usual PCs seems to be his forte and pushes our Challenge buttons.

I'll play as a Ratacian as my primary but have zero interest in playing either of the two other characters - as I don't think I'd do them justice. I'd prefer to run either just the Ratacian & maybe another as well of my own creation, maybe an Avianas? Let me know when you can Admin Pete .

That is fine, pick another set of stats for an Avianas or elf or something else is fine.
