" . . . underground warren . . . Company owned dormitory area." Reading this, I immediately flashed on the chase scene in Outland. As you should.

Raven also notices the various colors and queries the guard, "What do each of the colors mean and are they throughout the Warrens and Domes?" Ummm? Mighty Darci, I'm pretty sure that Chuck meant for his character to leave the ship ahead of everyone else and go about his explorations alone. Although this question can still be addressed to the guard when the rest of us exit, putting it at the end of that particular quote makes it seem as if we are all together in one group. We probably should avoid such things, since we don't want to get confused . . . or involved in Chuck's upcoming parkour chase through the dorm!

That's why I made said post here. Oh and by the way . . . And it'll be just my luck if the next thing out of Raven's mouth is something along the lines of "Ever hear of a place called Brother Leroy's?" You didn't have to say anything, you think I was going to miss this opportunity. That bit in italics was actually Peng's in-character thought about the current situation . . . it just happened to also be my (the player's) thought on the matter as well!

I'm stunned that Raven thinks Gil is up to something unseemly. I mean, it's not like he's ever gotten anyone (else) into any trouble. I've been wondering when she's going to have a private chat about that fresh laser burn on his jacket, but I guess that's a conversation for the future should her "fears" be realized. [LoL] FWIW, although the stats are a little different, this is an old character I've run before. Per the bio, while he's not above a bit of "side business," he does strive to keep one toe on the legal side of things. However, it will be interesting to see how this plays out with Raven.

Yeah, I may need a bigger ship with a brig. Hi all, I am going off to school this weekend. I will post today as applicable and I will also try to do that tomorrow. Then I will not be on-line for about two to three weeks, while I am getting acclimated. After that I intend to try to post 2-3 times per week. In the meantime or at any time if the DM/GM wants to run my character or if another player approved by the DM/GM wants to run my character so that the game can keep moving, please do. Thank you all, Darci

I second the safe travel wishes (although I suspect you are likely there by now . . .). As to the brig, neither of us have shown violent tendencies. So some restrictive ankle bracelets - ones that deliver a nasty shock if we try to leave the ship without an escort - should be sufficient.

Thank you all, Darci I'll lightly NPC Raven while you're away. I understand about "beginning of term" and "end of term", too, as I was a College Professor for 30 years before retiring. Hope you get settled at school with no problems, and we'll be looking for your return.

Per Imperial regulations, once someone signs the Articles of a ship under Imperial registry, they put themselves under the legal authority of it's captain. As long as said ship doesn't touch down in the jurisdiction of another government (and most starports are extraterritorial, either under the Imperium or a commercial consortium), whatever she decides goes. Unless we want to stage a mutiny, that is. [Of course, erisred could be running local starports differently, since we're beyond the Imperial border here.]

how can we get into trouble, er, anything done? Contract with discrete local courier services to carry notes to local contacts for us, then transport funds/purchases back and forth?

Hey Erisred, I suggest a different thread for each portion of the party. Keeping the two different scenes in one thread invites confusion.

Cyril has no close combat skills at all. Can I assume that his familiarity with kitchen knives will keep him from wounding himself or his friends if he has to pick up a blade?

Cyril can use pistols, rifles, shotguns, smg's, knives and swords without penalty, not positive DM, but no negative one either. Cyril knows which end to hold and which end to point at the bad guys and very likely won't do himself or his friends an injury. He can also Brawl at Level 0!

Hi Eris,
I just got a notice that I have to hop on a plane on Sunday and I'll be out of country for about a week. Please feel free to run Gil during that time. I believe that you have an idea of how the character works. ;-)
Thanks!
Chuck

Hi All,
Just got back in country yesterday and I seem to be through with the jet lag. Yay!
Looks like Raven didn't get her larger brig (yet), so I get the game(s) is(are) still afoot! :-)

Welcome back! I'm down here in Florida so I've been distracted by Irma. I'm up near Pensacola, so I'm currently just out of "the cone" on the west side, but I never trust a hurricane to go where they say it is supposed to go. In any case, I've been dealing with that more than games the last week. I'm still here though!
