Ha! Not in that sense, no. An academic. I've done some gaming stuff, but most of my work focuses on Greek and Roman theatre. ( Most recently). Got you. Nice.

Wow, I am impressed. I have book marked the page, if I can get back to work I will have to take them for a spin. They look like fun reads. You guys are a lot closer to my age than I thought you were. I will be 65 shortly.

You guys are a lot closer to my age than I thought you were. I resemble this remark. I too am surprised to encounter a group of folks where it's not immediately apparent that I'm the oldster. . . .
The again, we're gathering in your wonderful "classic old school" virtual space, eh?

I would imagine that bleeds over into your gaming stuff too. <snip> You manage to cover a lot of territory. I am curious now as to what gaming stuff you have done. Yeah, thanks. It's a lot of fun.
As for gaming stuff: I co-wrote a sf rpg called Diaspora (which started off as a way of playing Trav using the FATE system; we won an ENnie for best rules in 2010), and also a one-shot game called Hollowpoint. Two years ago I helped write the FATE Space Handbook.
It's nice to meet you all.

I know I see notifications at the top if I am quoted or tagged or if someone likes a post, but if there is something beyond that I haven't found it. Maybe try liking each others posts when you log in and that way when each of you log in you will know there was activity. After all this time with the forum, I am still learning new things about Proboards. Over the next 18 months they are rolling out a new version of the software so sometime in the next year or so we will see some changes.

If y'all are talking about the little blue "NEW" square that pops up next to "Participated" in the upper right margin, I get those. But I've found depending upon them to be less than optimal. If the Referee opens a new scene/thread and you depend on that "NEW" tag too much, you tend to get left behind by the current action. ********************************** As to the current scene: I'm trying to go with the flow, while remaining Peng's sweet ol' thuggish self. All he knows is that someone took his patron and crewmembers hostage, then tried to run for it. So Peng's intent on doing his best to HURT those unwise souls.

No wonder you picked a ghost for an avatar! I had no idea that you were older than I am, I am surprised. So would that be 70 we are talking about?

Why, yes! Yes, it would. Are you planning anything special for that date? Making it TOO that date is pretty special now days. Other than that, no. Maybe 75, but not 70.

Are you planning anything special for that date? Making it TOO that date is pretty special now days. Other than that, no. Maybe 75, but not 70. Most people were really excited about 16, 18 and 21. But none of those allowed me to do anything I was not already doing (talking of things I actually want to do). The birthdays I have looked forward to were 30, 40, 50, 60, 65 (because now I will finally be an adult ), and every year I get after that. Having had cancer three times already and some other issues, I am really not counting anything as guaranteed.
