darn, I glad you are okay - I hope that you can get a new car. I hope the job works out. Still no word from the insurance adjuster. I suspect she's waiting upon receipt of the police report, which has all the contact and insurance information for the pillhead car's owner. The police didn't allow me to approach them. I wouldn't have let me either . . .  As to the new job, it's physically quite tiring; I basically slept all day yesterday, after getting home. It also pays a bit less than my previous job. But I can sleep like a regular person. And it's both simple and low-stress. |

Other driver was clearly at fault, but his wife was all up in arms that I was at fault. The cop said "I've written it all up, I'll let the insurance companies decide who is at fault." (which I think actually is technically true). I called their insurance (my copy of the police report had their insurance info) all worried. THEIR insurance company shared that their driver was at fault, and in fact he was sort of in trouble with them... I was reasonably confident since they had passed a car that WAS stopped at the stop light. THAT driver I think was the only witness statement in the police report - that's a pretty damning witness statement "I was stopped at a red light, the other car blew past me broadsiding the car in the intersection." I hope all goes well, understanding it's a bummer, car insurance never really covers replacing your car. Frank |

Still and all, my car WAS getting on in years and I would have had to replace it sooner rather than later anyway. So the check (whatever the amount) will be welcome. |

As noted in the other threads makofan is unable to currently continue these games so I am moving them to inactive status. If at any point makofan is willing and able to resume the games I will happily move them back to active status. Or if anyone works it out with makofan to take over the games I will provide appropriate access for that as well. |
