It seems to me we're going to need quite a few maps at the end of this. I would like to have both full-colour and black & white subsector maps, Classic Traveller-style, for the subsector as well as each world. makofan has already done a sterling job on the colour map but it would be good if we could stick to a more "classic" look, e.g. just a black background (no star field) and white gas giants and bases. For the black & white version, I was wondering if ffilz or @ffilzg could help out as per this thread on SFRPG (sorry guys, I can't tell which of you is the ffilz on the SFRPG Forums!). We also need to make planetary maps - again, I would like these in colour and black & white, using classic map symbols à la the LBB adventure modules. Anyone have any experience with these? I can take on the tasks above by myself, but I would be using Photoshop, not vector graphics, which would be sharper.

I love the sample map you linked to and the scale that is super easy to read.

Still looking for a good planetary map creator, though.

That poster maker is perfect. I will experiment with that next week

I like this one from the inimitable Ian Stead:

Postermaker sounds like it would work for black and white, but if you still want, I'm also happy to hack up a map with sec2pdf.

ffilz, if you wish to make a map, I would be more than happy. My plate is quite full right now

Ok, I'll try and whip something up. sec2pdf at least uses a similar format to the poster map, so the data should be easy to port to it if someone wanted to play with that tool.
