That's sad to hear. Did you know him very well, Mike?

www.kenzerco.com/Operiodicals/kodt/nemptychair.phpThe Empty ChairEulogy for a Gamer There is an empty chair, at the table this day. A hallowed place where, a friend once played. The roll of his dice, my ears long to hear. Or perhaps it would suffice, if he should suddenly appear. With character sheet in hand, and a bag of Cheeze-doodles to share. All his friends would stand, as he sat in the empty chair. I hear his voice a-callin’, and it ties my heart in a knot. For he cries, “Though a comrade has fallen, You must play for those who cannot.” We conquered worlds on the run, he and I in the name of fun. And as others may come and go, I make both both friend and foe. But what I long for most, is our past now long a ghost.

Yeah, I knew Pete moderately... played a lot with him in the mid to late 70s. More wargames than D&D... I had more D&D then I knew what to do with, a good wargame was hard to find! Right, Rob?

I wasn't there at the beginning, but reading of the passing of the "originals" always makes me feel like we're at the end of the Apostolic Age.

That is very sad, I have had a few friends pass away, 73 is much too young to die. I'm 79 and that is barely an eye blink of time. "Wizard of the Wood" what a great nickname to be remembered by.

That is a great nickname. May we always remember those who were there at the dawn of this cool hobby as we strive to have fun, learn, and create. In their memory, for ourselves and those we get to play with now, and for the people who come after us!
