the name is misleading, It came about as the first time these were encountered, they were on a tribe of gnolls. Since then(the last 2-3 years of your game) they have been found on Orcs, bugbears and ogres.
When a creature w the Tentacle is slain, it crawls toward the killer, attempting to graft itself to heir left arm. If allowed to do this it grants a +2 flail attack with a range of 15 feet( the magic bonus of the attack should be about +1 over most of the magic you give out). it will gradually rot away in d6 +4 weeks. when it finally "dies" , you lose d3 HP permanently. You also must make a save vrs death or suffer d3 Int loss. you only lose thes the first 2 times you use it, after that there is no loss of abilities or HP.
The finding and stopping of their production could make a neat campaign.
