I appologize for the silence, a tree in my backyard dropped a limb and ripped the powerline right out of my fuse box, as well as the internet cable and the next door neighbors stuff as well. It was an expensive ordeal, had to have the limb chopped up and taken out, and the electrition had to bring the house up to code; we still aren't done, I've got a drop wire giving power to the freezer in the garage and the cable that connects to my drier is so ancient that the electrition refused to hook it up, said it will start a fire. My house is older than dirt and so is the wiring. Anyway, we finally got everything else turned on. Good times!

Ditto. We've reached a time when legal requirements have gone beyond safety.

Updated the utility cables, dug a trench and ran an underground line to the garage, put a new breaker in the garage, buried said cable (my backyard looks like Mordor now ). My Father paid the bills as we had spent all of our savings getting rid of bedbugs earlier this year. The tree that lost a limb needs to go, and it will be expensive too as it is surrounded by powerlines. I'm bummed out, I'm 46 years old and can't even take care of my property. Work blew up as well; we lost 4 out of 6 staff and I've been over-extending myself. I'm getting paid for it, but the money just goes away and I don't ever see it . . . nor my family. With all of the work that needed done around here, and working 35 hours of over-time each week I've had no sleep. It's been a witch. I'm upset. I'm pissed off. I'm discouraged. Now I'm starting on clean up for the holidays, at least we can afford that . . . I hope. I've had to cancel the last 3 game sessions because my mind is dead. Two weeks ago I had everybody show up to play and I had nothing! They forgave me and we ate dinner and talked instead but I still let them down. Might have to run a module for the next session which doesn't please me but until I can stop moving and rest enough to think real thoughts, my creative processes are dead. Been playing a lot of video games to relax. I had planned on helping out my neighbors get ready for winter, their mailbox needed replacing and a shed needed to be built; got none of that done. The garden was ignored, I don't think that I'll grow one next year because I've got another tree that I can get down down, but I'll need the land I garden in to drop the thing. I repaired the neighbor's house, but not my own. The slats that I use are ancient and haven't been made since the 40s, I've got a bunch left but I have to use them wisely. That will mean that I'll need to repaint the house again. Ugggg!!!! At least nobody was hurt or killed during this ordeal, which considering what happened was a real possibility. A few feet more, or if the cable hadn't had broken off of the box, I could have lost everything, including my family. I keep them close. It was a close call.

darn you have it rough. You are in my thoughts. Our oven died a few days ago and we have to prep for the Landlord to come replace it and likely end up repiping the house if he can't get the sinks fixed. We just signed a 3 year lease prior to everything starting to go to pot. I really feel for you Ripper.
