Running light on ideas, I have a suggestion for you and a challenge.
I went down in the frozen pbp game by TPD and grabbed his extra races for you, and since he never got to finish fleshing them out that gives you more room to work with. First here are his non-human PC races for the game.
Lizard/Reptile-Folk - Placeholder - to be expanded - Multiple types from wet to dry terrain from swamp to mountains - different types - different base abilities
Insect Folk - Placeholder - to be expanded - six, eight and ten limbed varieties in various sizes from Hobbit size to human size. Some types can skitter across water, some types can walk across the underside of a ceiling.
Aliens come from other worlds and in some cases from different dimensions and in all cases have been stranded here. There are small and some larger, but growing communities scattered around the world. A few choose to adventure.
Deveuils aka "demons" dimensional travelers (see aliens) One type of aliens are called "demon" by humans and the aliens accepted the nickname as short for "dimension traveler" - Aliens from another dimension that are stranded and cannot get back and so made a life here. Over the centuries the various alien races of which you are one have become semi-accepted more or less even "demons". Demons are reptilian humanoids, they are reddish in color and scaly, they have horns and many suspect that they really are demons or have a demonic heritage. They tend towards Chaos and tend towards Evil, but most are Neutral in Alignment and some few are L(Awful) and strongly Good in nature and among these few even Paladinhood is possible.
Avianas - flying humanoids from another planet slight bodies, large wings and associated muscles, never found in dungeons and rarely on the ground.
Hulcanians - large heavily muscled humanoids from another planet, while very strong and of normal intelligence, the average wisdom is low compared to all other races.
Nagitherians - a snake-like race from another planet somewhat akin to Naga in appearance.
Ratacians - basically an intelligent humanoid rat-like race from another planet who are (wrongly) suspected of spreading disease or of being the cause of it.
So for each one of these come up with (one per day) several characters for each, but with a twist, come up with something that TPD would do. And you also have the options of creating some more alien races besides the one provided.
You could do a human, dwarf, elf or hobbit one day and one of these the next. Again try to come up with something other than what you would play, but what someone else, namely TPD would play. Even if you only do one every other day that should provide a lot of new ideas.

Ta'Araz("puny")
Insect Folk(Va'Kriz), 4'3" 60 lbs
Thief
St 6 Int 13 Wis 15 Con 12 Dx (14) 16 Cha (10) 8
Ta's mother rescued him from euthanasia for being so small and weak. She didn't understand what a thief was when she left hin w the guild. Ta' Quickly became a valuable member and because of his size was able to get into tiny spaces. His guild ran into trouble and is on his own, looking for a new place to belong. An adventuring group would fit the bill nicely. Loyal to a fault but just a hair of cowardice.

Frak Istontown
Ratacain ( Rat Man)
Fighter
St 9 Int 13 Ws 11 Con 13 Dx 7 Cha 12
Frak was born under a Bad Moon. He so wanted to be a wizard but racism reared it's ugly head and none of the apprentice opportunities would let a ratman in. He became a warrior as the army would take anyone, but he was not suited for it, persevering he did his 3 years and came out the better of it.Still bitter from the prejudiced population of humans, Frak bitterly takes up the mantle of soldier.

Jack Vincent "Vinny"
Mage
St 12 Int 13 Wis 9 Con 10 Dx 11 Cha 7
Slightly above average lead to a lot of choices in what career path was open to Vinny, But his overwhelming laziness trumped and he became a mage as that involved a lot of sitting. He will not carry a lot of gear nor help w any manual labor that might happen along. He also just learns the bare minimum of spells so he doesn't have to study much. Boy, is he lazy!

He flunked out of HTH class and was ejected by the priesthood, and then the true tragedy happened, The Forest God was killed by a powerful cabal of wizards. To fight them he needs to be as powerful as they were and he became a mage. He is on a collision course w the enemy mages. He waits for the power needed..........

Baba (Carl Smyth)
Paladin
St 9 int 7 Wis 9 Con 11 Dx 11 Cha 17
Baba is torn. He was the bastard son of a minor noble. The noble had a little contact with him. Just enuf to anger Baba. As he got older and his mother aged, the noble cut them off. He focused his anger into faith and paladin school, but he is on the razers edge. It is doubtful that he will make it far due to his bitterness. Oh and he refuses to talk to nobility.

Rosco Ironhide
mage
Cannot use or make scrolls
-1 damage from all attacks
St 7 Int 13 ws 13 Con 16 Dx 7 Cha 15
Rosco is extra ordinary hardy due to his father doing a lawful god's work. However this hardiness comes w a strange quirk. He is totally delusional about his abilities, he truly believes that he is invulnerable. He will deny being hurt in any way. He believes this delusion completely.
